Learning Curve Coaching : What No Guru Can Teach You

Sara, when I get in a kink trying to figure out priorities among the many things I want, I find it helpful to fast-forward to the end of my life and look back. I imagine myself 90 years old and look back over my life asking myself, "Anything you wish you were, did or had, girlfriend?" Very illuminating. :)

Learning Curve Coaching : What No Guru Can Teach You

Being more of who I am in any given situation has always created enough contrast to show me at least some of what I want (that I didn't recognize before), so it's good not to wait to be me. :)

Suzanne-Bird-Harris.com : You Might Be In Trouble If...

Hi Angela - thanks for the kind words. I'll tell you what - when she was telling me all that, it sure had my britches in a bunch! So much so, I just had to write about it. I'm only just a little calmer about it now. Might be a few days before I'm completely "unbunched". :)

Hi Deb - thanks for commenting. The reason your site won't accept the regular button coding is because it uses JavaScript, and WordPress.com doesn't allow users to use JavaScript on their sites.

Liz - one piece at at time is all you could do anyway! Granted, some of these things affect some others, but still - one step at a time (with maybe some "re-stepping") will get you through.

I'm glad you find these posts helpful, Elaine. WordPress has so much to offer, I'm STILL finding things I didn't know were there! (And I'm not even talking about the most recent upgrade!)

"..checklist, schmecklist..." TOO FUNNY! I know what you mean though. But a checklist helps me to look in the deeper, darker corners I would otherwise overlook. Enjoy the last bit of your time off! And let me know if you come across anything in your review that you would add to this list.

Susan - occasionally, the auto-upgrade that makes life now so easy with regard to upgrading WordPress gets "stuck" and just sits there lookin' at you. I have not taken any time to investigate why this happens - I just go ahead and upgrade the ol' manual way with FTP. Having said that, I'll pop into your dashboard later today and fix you up. :)

Thanks, Tom, for chiming in. Being willing to risk being wrong is the prerequisite for me being able to endorse another idea I know you're a proponent of: any action is better than no action because it changes things.

Learning Curve Coaching : Do You Think You Can?

Doris - I'm so glad you stopped by and I'm glad this helps you. None of us were born walking or talking, but we seem to expect to be able to do other things "instantly" - even when we know it's absurd to expect mastery the first time around.
