Airtel Broadband : Airtel Broadband Fair Usage Policy has new data transfer limits

Reliance and MTNL are the two companies who do not seem to have any FUP right now.

mgcarley is active on the forum. still facing the regulatory hurdles i believe. anyways, he knows about my conversation with airtel and is happy that hayai would be able to easily snatch away top end airtel customer base because they are getting frustrated with the company!

i had another conversation with them. this one was a total disaster. i have lost all hopes from airtel. i am waiting for my own connection to get FUPed now. mgcarley makes so much sense when he talks about how he plans to sell broadband to us customers. airtel folks on the other hand are still stuck on the old mantra. pay more for more speeds.

what you are suggesting is what we have. airtel has no plans to change what they are currently offering. we are looking at the problem from a totally different angle... let us pay per GB of data transfer without any restrictions on speeds.

what you are suggesting is what we have. airtel has no plans to change what they are currently offering. what i am suggesting is totally different. the concept put forward by hayai. your suggested plans are similar to what we have been asking for ever on the forum. not going to happen.

what kind of commercial use? who runs a cyber cafe at home? and if an airtel sales person is selling a home connection in a shop, it is airtel's fault not ours. airtel folks can easily report any user running a home connection for commercial reasons. this is for them to handle not us.

well FUP is a problem. no matter how large or small the limits are. internet is becoming a powerful medium and restricted access is not going to be benefit either the service provider or the customer.
