Since some of us are curious about space for a king bed instead of the queen, is it possible to measure that wall? For a Cal King, you'd need 6" more on each side and for a King (Eastern), you'd need 8" more on each side. I've seen rooms in model homes that had beautiful shelving on each side...to accommodate clock, glasses ,etc. instead of furniture. Thanks!!!

We just had an electrician install an outlet above our fireplace to hang a flat screen TV. It was no big deal.

That's my pet peeve also. Past DHs didn't have a king either. It's possible, I think, to have smaller nightstands on either side- or none- and exchange the queen for a king. I wonder if anyone measured that wall.

Here are features I appreciate in any home: 1] a long surface with electric outlets that can double as a buffet because I often use hot trays to keep food warm. Although the DH kitchen has a beautiful counter with stools, they might be needed for extra seating. Maybe there's room in the dining area to add a long but 18" deep surface. 2] Room on each side of the bed to get out: check out the four-poster bedded guest room: the furniture on the left could be smaller, allowing the bed to be centered. Or just have small built-in shelves on each side for night items. 3] Deal-breaker: the Prime Bedroom (Master) must have room for a king bed (California or Eastern). I don't mean to be at all negative....just giving out random thoughts.

To me, the most surprising product is the stand-alone bath faucet in the "master" bathroom. Can we have a blog about re-naming "master" bathroom? The word "master" is inappropriate on so many levels.
