There is so much wrong with Dean being in this position and we can't get him out. With the problems that had already surfaced, IMO the board should have immediately fired him. But no, instead they decide to let him run again? At least they should have found a new candidate. Geez... This is a perfect example of the Democratic party in St. Joe County in action.

What is it going to take to get our officials to learn to live within their means and do more with what staff you've got like all of us have learned to do? Those who voted in favor of this budget need to voted out and get a dose of the real world. Soon.

I agree DPB. Cell phones & cable TV were the first to go when I was tight on cash. I still don't have cable TV and it's O.K.! And it is free!

Seems a day late and a dollar short to stop the increase in our delivery fee which was proposed as a possible increase a few months ago. I haven't seen anything in the news about it since then so we are all probably screwed once again. I'm sure the increase will magically appear in my bill.
If we had true representatives they would have known about this proposed increase and open their own mail at home when the notice went out. Geez...

So, how is SB going to use these more abandoned buildings? You know they will try to buy them... Shutter them or bulldoze them? Those seem to be the only options SB looks at. Maybe in 10 - 20 years we will look at them again... In the meantime, they will raise the county LOIT to maintain them.

While the response was very good, there was a lady from 1st Source with a bad knee who walked all the way to Memorial Hospital and then to McDonald's to get the bus to ND. Maybe some wheelchairs or closer pickup for those who need it should be worked into the response plan. Just a suggestion.
