WWE over-achieved in the build to Lesnar vs. Goldberg last year, for instance, especially since everyone knew Lesnar was winning. If anything, the easiest way to damage fans' perception on WM matches is a) whether they get bumped to the pre-show and/or b) they get short-changed for time.
