<title>The Wiire : The Wiire Podcast 108</title>
<link>http://thewiire.com/news/1456/1/the_wiire_podcast_108#IDComment4284473</link>
<description>IAN PLEASE READ! Ok. Ian, you&amp;#039;re a smart and respectable person, but the 2 SKU idea is really...bad. Here&amp;#039;s why: While we all like to say that there&amp;#039;s just two categories of gamers - casual and hardcore - it really goes deeper than that. You essentially have an entire spectrum that ranges from 100% casual gamers to 100% hardcore gamers. So what would happen for the gamer that says, &amp;quot;well I am a more casual type of gamer, but I do enjoy a more hardcore title every once and a while.&amp;quot; Now these types of people who are basically 70% casual and 30% hardcore would have to purchase BOTH consoles to get what they wanted from Nintendo. And this is just one example. SO THE POINT IS: &amp;quot;casual&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;hardcore&amp;quot; are simply generalizations...there are many who are in between these two categories. They would be forced to choose a side. Most people would say (pardon the language) &amp;quot;screw this; I&amp;#039;m going for the company that just has one console with titles across the board.&amp;rdquo; (which the Wii does now, just not nearly enough for the more hardcore gamers) Great website, awesome podcast...keep up the good work! </description>
