Last seen weaving down the M5 in hot pursuit of a saucy looking MG before falling asleep and crashing into a pole.

Wow Jeff the commentors don't miss em over there. We're so much more civilized here. I'd like to give that style a go.

Tim Flannery (Our Australian of the Year 2007) YOU IDIOT.
Ah that feels quite good.

I was of course no where near it (at least that's my defence) having locked it up and left it.

Why aren't the greenies out there howling on the mountains tops for the lost flora and fauna

Why don't you get that ACharlie..... Try it out the back, small load of leaves / big load of leaves.... of course fuel load has no effect on the size and magnitude of the fire.

Sorry I would have responded earlier but the bigger pile got away from me and perhaps in retrospect throwing more leaves on wasn't the answer.

Hi ACharlie (Bolter)

Turn to the heavens and prayer that in the wake of this tragedy it will be impossible for any party to ignore the weight of scientific evidence and public outcry against these irresponsible policies.

And.... thanks for reminding readers that the Coalition was at the helm for 11 years when many of these anti agriculture /tree clearing bans were enacted. How quickly we forget??

From Syd's blog

"I hope no conservationists used this bushfire tragedy to say ‘I told you so’ about climate change."

AAh sorry Syd. Clive and Barry could barely contain themselves.

Clive was on all the major news within hours of the tragedy unfolding saying "we told you so" . Terribly sorry then that the "anti green" lobby is now coming out with a huge weight of evidence that could have significantly lessened this tragedy shouting "we told you so - why was nothing done".

Sorry Susan for offending you. You're right you would expect with government regulatory bodies, ASIC and the like an accreditation would hold some credibility. Obviously not. ____

I found the 4 corners program highly disturbing the unscrupulous way Storm financial sold "the dream", ostentatious offices, glitzy advertising, flashy holidays, smoozing with the rich and famous, fast cars, oversized yachts. Teamed with a lack of discretionary lending on the behalf of the banks the dream was complete. ____

However any FP worth his weight (and they are out there) would have cautioned "the bigger the profit, the greater the risk', so if you haven't got it to risk DON'T. It's terribly sad that the people in the story could bargain away their entire lifes savings and more on a Sham. The perpetrators always come off a heck of a lot better than mum & dad investor. ____Eddie Groves's driving around in flashy cars at my expense as we speak.........
