That elephant is terrified of that trainer. Something is wrong here. According to news accounts, the trainer and his family at first refused to allow this film to be released, claiming it would sensationalize the attack. They later relented in order to prove the animal hadn't been abused. But those same news accounts said the trainer used a stick with a hook on it on the elephant. I don't see that in the video, though. There appears to be a major cut in the film, so I wonder if this scene was deleted. It is heartbreaking to watch that poor elephant staring out so sadly at freedom- so close, yet completely unreachable.

Did one "journalist" on either of these shows ask her what it was the farmer did to show he was superior to her. Did he wear a crown or something. Did he say something like, I don't trust "your kind"? Did he ask her to use a different water fountain? Sherrod said he took a long time doing it, so what exactly did he do?
