Pakonom - Please go to the Independence Caucus web site and take the time to review their proposals. They go far beyond term limits and really get to the root of the problem and that is with "campaign" contributions from lobbyists which amounts to nothing more than bribery. This is a huge problem both for Dems and Republicans. They have some excellent background on why there is a problem and a detailed plan of how we can begin to fix it. Go to www.ourcaucus.com

3 basics to recovery and getting back to the constitution: 1) Implement the Fair Tax which includes abolishing the IRS and repealing the 16th Amendment (I encourage you to actually read the book The Fair Tax) 2) Pass a balanced budget amendment 3) Implement term limits: 2 terms for Senators (12 years) and 4 terms for Represenatives (8 years) A 3-legged stool that will at least get us headed back to a more controlled government
