Police work is a tough job with split second decisions. The Campbell incident had many factors that officers would guage as threatening to them and other citizens. In this case the shooter murdered an innocent man in Hillsboro, then led police on a 4 to 5 mile chase shooting as he went toward Cornelius. When the shooter chrashed his vehicle in Cornelius, he exited the car with a gun in each hand and began shooting again. I'm wondering why Maxine thinks a taser is more appropriate than neutralizing the threat with a handgun. All three officers did not use excessive force and stopped the threat before other innocent people were shot and killed. Well done officers you made the correct split second decision!!!
