/Film : Early Teaser Poster For Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island

I am excited to watch this one... I wasn't satisfied with the Stones documentary that we had last year. I am fine with Leo, he seems to satisfy Marty's acting needs. I just finished reading "A Drink Before the War" which is Dennis Lehane's first novel, it was great. I think Marty will work fine with his material.

agreed. The only level that I can watch a B-Rat movie is to directly ridicule him, much like his fake twitter feed.

Seems like a world that is ripe with hilarity. I love reading Fake Brett Ratner. The experience is much like watching one of his Chris Tucker movies; laughable but ultimately unnecessary.

I still have chills from watching it. Absolute brilliant use of Arcade Fire. It has been far too long since I saw the test screening... why can't they just release it instead of Aliens vs. Monsters?

it is as amazing as you think it is. I wonder how the music will change since it used a Yeah Yeah Yeahs song and a lot of Arcade Fire's Funeral album

/Film : Where The Wild Things Are Trailer Attached to Monsters vs Aliens?

I saw this at an advanced screening in Pasadena in November of 2007. It was an amazing film back then, I have been dying to see it in the theaters again. It was mostly scored with Arcade Fire music from their Funeral album and the use of an acoustic version of Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's Maps.

/Film : Movie Playlist: Steven Spielberg, Wes Anderson, Jon Favreau, Sofia Coppola and James Gray

Seven Samurai is a great movie, but I am not sure if I agree with the never look at your watch statement. It does pace much slower than a movie made in the last 15 years, so it can be trying if you are just starting to get into foreign films. I will say in my defense that Kurosawa makes movies that are slower paced but can suck you completely in. I would have chosen Throne of Blood or Ikiru, those movies are masterpieces.

Criterion DVD's are amazing, they consistently release movies that I would never see without their attention to it. They do excellent transfers and excellent special features, it would be a dream to work there.

Totally! Why would i spend $30 on a movie where I am going to watch the special features once and then forget them? I usually buy the barebones and then rent(i.e. Netflix) the special features disc on DVD. Please stop running yourself out of the industry Fox.

I did that when the final extended edition of the films came out. My best friend and I marathon through them in one day. We took about 15 minutes between each of the discs and got done within the day, the sun was not in existence that day. Swarley, I thought I was the only one from Iowa who was a movie nerd! I live in LA now, but I am from around the Council Bluffs/ Omaha metro area.
