Breitbart.tv : NAACP's Ben Jealous: Florida Gov Wants To Suppress 'Darky' Vote

It's sad to see what the NAACP has become. An organization with such a prestigious beginning and history has become a joke; most black people are no longer members. Mr. Jealous' comments are as ridiculous and asinine as those who are amazed by Mr. Jealous' skin tone.

Big Hollywood : George Lucas Slams Hollywood: 'Red Tails' Too 'Black' and American For Studios

During my senior (or maybe junior) year at Annapolis, the MIDN Black Studies Club hosted the remaining Airmen. To the man, they recalled losing planes during missions; it happened to all bomber escort squadrons. It was the Army Air Corps (later, Air Force) that perpetuated that myth. @slobis - I think Charles McGee was part of that group. I vividly recall fellow mids who wanted to fly after graduation and officers who were pilots and NFOs crowding the meeting room. They didn't want to pass up the chance to meet living aviation legends.

Breitbart.tv : CBS Sportswriter: 'If Tebow Had More Class He’d Just Kill Dogs Or Get Drunk And Run Over Somebody'

Watching this the first time, the CBS sportscaster's sarcasm flew over my head. But, he was actually praising Tebow by highlighting some absurd behavior from other NFL notables (Vick, Brady). It flew over my head and that of Howard Kurtz.

This man was very brave, he answered questions with aplomb and directness. His straight answers reached some in crowd. I particularly enjoyed his answer on corporations supporting their private interests in a public forum, possibly the best I've ever heard on the subject. I couldn't tell if they were mocking his support of Herman Cain's 9-9-9 plan, however.

Breitbart.tv : Chris Wallace: 'I Messed Up' Asking Bachmann 'Are You a Flake?'

Yes, it was a stupid way of framing the question but I think the vitriol leveled at Chris Wallace is just as bad. He was asking her about how she is perceived in DC. He was giving her an opportunity to answer those perceptions, which - as Wallace admitted - she answered well. I believe Chris Wallace is an excellent interviewer and is a strong supporter of Fox's tagline: Fair & Balanced. I would rather he ask those he interview tough questions (even if they feel a bit insulted afterwards) than get softball questions like the Alphabets!

I knew you were a troll when I first read your reply but I had to see how far you'd go. What was the phrase? "Once you call someone names, you've lost the argument"? Since you can't debate a topic without hyperbolic insults and name-calling, I don't have to detail the difference between the Federal US Service Academies (where all cadets/midshipmen receive full-scholarships) and HBCUs (the correct term), which are state universities. Thanks for losing the argument.

4truth4country - I sense your righteous indignation but it's obvious by your responses that you don't know much about the Academy admissions process. I'm not talking down to you; I'm a graduate and worked for the Admissions Office during my last tour. It's easy to say "discrimination" or "racism" but consider the Admissions Board has to compare students from all over the nation, where grades don't always align. An 'A' student in West Virginia may not compare to an 'A" student in Florida, since different states weigh grades differently. Sometimes, schools within the same County may weigh grades differently (ask any AP student). This is why Admissions Boards look at test scores and extra-curricular activities. On top of that there is the nomination process, which involves Congressional Representations. Oh, and the term is HBCU, for Historically Black College and University. My father (may he rest in peace) was a proud graduate of one. Nothing prevents white students from attending these schools. And when I was in the field for the Academy, HBCUs were my toughest competition for Black students.

From my personal experience, I have to co-sign w/ dec7540. There is more to the Academy lifestyle than grades. Two of my fellow companymates - who were at the top of their classes and got fantastic SAT scores - didn't last 3-weeks into plebe summer because they couldn't handle the military atmosphere. Another classmate didn't last the first semester for the same reason.

This story pains me. I'm a graduate of the US Naval Academy and a minority. I busted my tail to get there (went to Prep School and glad I did). Near the end of my career, I worked for the Admissions Office. I can't speak for the Academy's standards now but when I was a candidate for admission and when I was recruiting, many different factors were weighed in considering a student's prospects, not just grades. Yes, students had to have good grades but extra-curricular activities (athletics, work, volunteerism) were looked at. @Caedite_Eos: Attending the Prep School in Newport, RI is NOT a detriment. Far from it, Prep School graduates are usually more prepared for the pace of the Academy and tend to graduate at a higher rate than those who come in straight from high school. Since the Academy's graduation rate is upwards of 80%, you can see the advantages.

Big Hollywood : Bring On 'The Expendables': Violent Cartoons Were Good for America

I have the entire Robotech series on DVD and it was one of the finest shows on television. Good guys were injured, killed or faltered. Aliens were complex, some were completely evil (Dolza and Khyron), others were honorable (Breetai, Exedore) and some were confused (Zor). An interesting side note: there was never a Japanese version of this show. What we call "Robotech" was actually three separate programs melded into a single 85-episode show by the American producers and writers. See my article on the subject: http://www.animerated.com/robotech-a-retrospectiv...

I liked the scenes in the grocery store...funny! The show does expose the humor of the lib lifestyle while tweaking the ultra-right (purity rings, for example). It seems better suited for Fox than ABC but if the network can cut back on ridiculous "reality shows" with dancing has-beens, this show could work for them.

I have a lot of respect for Judge, who is well-regarded in the animation industry. "King of the Hill" was the second-longest running show of Fox and the second-longest running prime time animated program in American TV history.
