At least we finally got an answer on who keeps stashing rupees inside all those pots in Hyrule, courtesy Minish Cap.

That is hilariously bad. Like somebody's first Poser animation project.

Agreed. Weird limitation. You can definitely save your replays to the HD, but once you load one up, that's all you can work with. I guess it's intended to simplify the editing process.

Pain's biggest problem is that it is waaaay too difficult to do anything satisfying. That run that I turned into the video literally took me a dozen launches to land. Either I'd miss grabbing the monster, or the monster would throw me over the side of the building instead of INTO it like I wanted.

A huge portion of your time in Pain is spent launching a character into a wall, watching nothing else happen, realizing that launch sucked, and then launching again. It's like if Pac-Man started each level with a ghost on either side of him, and you had to somehow squeeze past them to actually start playing.

That said, the Amusement Park add-on for Pain is by far the best because it has lots of moving parts, so you can put together a chain of events, tossing your guy from object to object, and rack up a decent score.

I would wager that GH:WT on Wii is selling almost exclusively to the same casual-family group that went nuts for GHIII on Wii last year... because, you know, they already have one guitar. And that group is not paying attention to DLC songs. Most people I know who bought GHIII had no idea about the Wii stereo screwup that had our communities apoplectic for months.

Re: Banjo Kazooie. I believe I called poor sales on Nuts & Boltz the day that a BK was announced for the 360. 360 owners do not want "cute", end of story. Happy googly-eyed (non-licensed) stuff does not sell to Xbox owners... see also Katamari, Conker, Viva Pinata. Which makes Microsoft's attempts to mimic Nintendo all the more crazy (commercials pushing the 360 as a family console, the Mii avatars, etc). Focus on what you know, and quit trying to build an audience that is simply not showing up.

Compared to the shaft that Wii owners have been sitting on for the last six months, the PS3 shaft is like a bright pillar of pure christmas candy.

Told ya. When I write articles, I always try to keep in mind my target audience of Joe Haygood and Stephen Munn.
