We have been at this point in the last two seasons, with the same discussion arising everytime. I think it is important to keep in mind that there has in fact just been an International break, followed by a match at home and then straight back on to the plane for London. The team only just went there the night before, it's not the longest of trips at all, but having an away match of this calibre and in another country can be a lot for anyone. Furthermore I agree that we lacked the killing instinct yesterday. Pedro's touch was off from the beginning and I really think Pep made a mistake taking Villa off instead of him. Furthermore I do not understand why we did not use Mascherano later in this game. He would have been a better solution than Keita, knowing the Arsenal players and their tactics way better than anyone else on our team. Dropping down Mascherano as an anchorman or even to man mark Fabregas could most likely have prevented their second goal. Their first goal there's nothing you can do about it, quick lob through pass and then a Valdes misjudging the space between him and the goalpost. Ah well, we showed good signs yesterday and played with confidence. Yes there were signs of tiredness, but I dare say it's only temporary!
