West Ham Till I Die : Result: Player Performances v Bristol City

The glass is half full for me not half empty! Big Sams comments definitely angered some but I think he is a very confident manager who believes in what he can do. Lets all just let Sam manage as he is doing alright in my book. Just a few facts: We are second in the league. The mentality of the players is now tougher after being losers for so long. Nolan is a natural leader and very strong character who has scored a few already. And just a thought on Sears, he didn't have the best game but he did come very close to scoring, but as manager Sam has to also develop players throughout the season and look at the bigger picture as well as trying to gain promotion. Sears needs a bit of time, if that goal had gone in rather then hit the post that would have given him a massive confidence boost. Lets just get behind them because they are doing alright and as Sam said they will get better....

West Ham Till I Die : Results: Player Performances v Portsmouth

Really enjoyed the game on Saturday, its been a long time since I can say that! I have been reading some of the comments on Kevin Nolan and although I am sure he can do better I have personally been impressed by him. He has 2 goals already but the thing I like most is he is Captain Material! he is always in the referees ear, ordering our players about, and his positional play is excellent. He seems to be able to push back the oppositions defence by either backing in to them (Kevin Davis Style) or finding good space and therefore our midfielders are able to join. Just my opinion of what I have seen from the games so far.

West Ham Till I Die : Transfer Deadline Day - Open Thread

Sad to see Scott Parker go but feel we have strengthened the team to do what is needed this season, which is get us out of this league. I do feel that selling Junior was a shame., he was quite a threat for us. He had a good shot on him and scored some good goals considering he has not got much experience. I do worry about some of our talented youngsters making the next step and breaking through into the 1st team. Sir Alex always manages to develop his young stars steadily I hope Sam can do the same. Is someone like Junior Stanislas really not good enough to eventually force himself into our first team?

West Ham Till I Die : Get Lambert, as West Ham Look to Secure Ba!

If it was down to picking someone because he was West Ham through and through and had a deep understanding of the club then he would be a strong consideration. My worry is he is unproven but after hearing him speak I would keep him on at the club possibly as a number 2 position alongside Martin O'neil.

West Ham Till I Die : Poll Result: You Want Martin O'Neill!

1st choice has to be Martin O'Neil he could not only get us back to the premier league but also develop us into a very strong team. A proper and full request should be made to him where the owners can at least try to sell the reasons why he should be manager. Although there is only a very small chance he will come the board would really do themselves some favours. My worry is that after that we have to find the best of the rest and this is difficult as there are no other really outstanding choices in my opinion.

West Ham Till I Die : Grant is Finally Sacked - Four Months Too Late

I have not posted for months but have kept reading everyones thoughts and like everyone else have felt sick to the stomach at our shambles of a club. I am season ticket holder who doesn't know if he will renew next season because I am struggling to buy into the G&S regime. I want to see concrete proof that they understand what the fans want and I think they need to attempt a massive coup like O'neil that would inspire and put a blueprint on the entire club. NO WAY TO STEVE McLAREN If not O'neil then a new set-up of people that really understands the club. He may lack experience but is it not possible that DiCanio could work alongside the likes of Alvin Martin and Tony Carr? This way we have people who span the last 40 years of the club.

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham Win Olympic Bid: Official

Hi ClaretBobby I appreciate their circumstances I now hope that they will do what they say and hopefully there is a way to get the best out of it. Surely the oplc also want West Ham to using the stadium (i.e a happy tenant) so there might be some clever design work that can be done to compensate for the track.

I think its now the duty of the club to give the fans some feed back and see what can be done about reducing the effect of the track will have on the overall atmosphere and enjoyment of watching the Hammers! With so much speculation going on I look forward to seeing the truth and more detailed plans of how it can all work.

West Ham Till I Die : Baaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Covent Garden is good place to spot the odd football star. The day Tevez signed I left work was walking down the road when my missus started prodding me saying isn't that the bloke West Ham signed I looked up to see Carlos Tevez pushing a pram with a baby in it and 3 kids walking after him. Needles to say I shook his hand told him I am a West Ham fan, he looked at me and smiled, I walked of then kicked myself wishing I had got a photo and an autograph. Mind you it would have been the strangest photo a 6ft 5inch bloke with Tevez a pram and 4 kids!

I hope Ba can form a good partnership with Cole and help get the best out of him. I know Carlton can frustrate people but he does have quality, just look at his goal on Wednesday. Avram might even go 3 up front as we really need to get some goals to take the pressure of the defence because we have crumbled so often this season. Other news: Eggert Magnusson nearly run me over yesterday in Covent Garden, accidently I might add!

West Ham Till I Die : The Sorry Saga Continues...

I know the vast majority would have wanted O'Neil for obvious reasons but I hope now the pressure is deflected towards the board and not to Avram. I think West Ham fans have been very reasonable with Grant there has certainly been other managers who have got more flack! i.e Curbs, Roeder and even Pards when we were in the championship. We should get behind the team and Grant and any negative thoughts really should be aimed at the board who in my opinion need to prove themselves especially in this transfer window. We need 2-3 more quality players. Without this we will not survive.

West Ham Till I Die : Listen to LBC 97.3 From 8pm Tonight! Olympic Stadium Special

Cahillcc I though the atmosphere on Tuesday was brilliant, it was the best for a long time. There are not many stadiums that can do that regardless of size, it just seems to come alive sometimes and I for one will miss it if we do move. Of course it takes good fans but its the dynamic of the stadium that seem to work. How would you feel if the club were able to completely rebuild the OS like the Spuds bid indicates. If you could start from scratch would you then prefer to move?

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham 2 Birmingham 1: Spector-tastic!

Just got back from the game. Brilliant atmosphere that 'special under the lights' match that the old stadium can produce. I hope G&S think long and hard how they need to sort that stupid running track out because when we have atmospheres like tonight it just reminds us all how special it can be even if it only happens now and again these days. Grant made a bold move by bringing on Cole and Hines after we went down to 10 men. Its also been good to hear him appear more positive in interviews recently he even cracked a joke this week.

SkinnyChris makes a good point of having an array of different managers who have different techniques. If we get someone else other than the chosen one who's to say they will be able to do much better. For me the most important thing at the moment is to get 2 inspirational players. 1. A tough no compromising centre half and 2. a goal scoring poacher. This along with Parker can see us to safety then we can start again next season. The question is will G&S use their own money and can 2 quality players be identified and secured within the transfer window.
