The base of the party in California has moved to Arizona, Texas and Washington State and others. The only way to grow the party at this point is to stick to true conservative principles and run from the divisive issues that only marginalize us into oblivion. Opposition to stem cell research is a perfect example. When Nancy Reagan says you’re wrong, she is probably correct.

Social issues have no place in our party’s platform. Having them accomplishes nothing accept to cause most Americans to consider the Republican Party to be irrelevant and out dated. They may be correct as we have no prospects for a bright future in California or America.

I have been a conservative republican my entire life and I am ashamed of the way our leaders have taken us over the cliff and into the valley of darkness.
