I ride a bike and I also own 2 cars and own a primary residence and a rental property. I pay taxes. A lot of cyclists also donate money to maintain the trails, like the Burke Gilman.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Bike shop reinvents Kalakala, specifically for Seattle | Business | Central District News

Most road bikes do not have kickstands. 2k is actually cheap for a custom, locally built bike. Actually labor went into making this and it is well worth the money. If you want cheap Chinese crap, buy it. If you want a quality cycle then shop local. There are plenty to choose from in the PNW. Lots of custom bikes are made in Oregon.

Yea that's a bit of a drive. I used to live in Quilcene many years ago. We are not currently an online group, but we could send you notes from the group via email. I don't want to give the email address out in this forum. There used to be a chat room on EDNF but they got rid of it do to security reasons.

Sorry that you had to cut your career short, that has to be extremely difficult. If you are local and want to join our support group please look us up, we would be happy to have you. If you are not in the area there are other groups around the country. Sometimes it helps just to know that you are not alone.

I don't think that marijuana would help EDS too much unless it strengthens your cartilage and replenishes connective tissue.

Yes, Washington is part of the United States. We are trying to get individual states to proclaim EDS awareness month and there are several that have. I do not think that it is nationally recognized as Awareness Month. May is Arthritis Awareness Month and EDS is considered a type of arthritis. The 2 National foundations are the ones who call May EDS Awareness Month.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I think the point of the proclamation is that it brings awareness to a "syndrome" that is not very well known. With this awareness comes monetary support to the 2 EDS foundations and from there hopefully a cure or at least a helpful treatment. There are many people who do not even know that they have this and some even die and get diagnosed during autopsy. For those of you who may have this disease and are in need of our support group information can be found on the EDNF link and go to the message boards and scoll down to local groups, Our group is NW EDNF Support group.

Thank you so much for helping out my mother in law and brother in law, it really means a lot to us. Lindsay Cohen has gone well above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Lindsay and thank you KOMO TV! Eric's job was to document the fire and he did a wonderful job at that. The fire was way out of control when they arrived and there was nothing to be done except document. Eric did a great job and needs to be recognized for that.
