We are trying to get individual states to proclaim EDS awareness month and there are several that have. I do not think that it is nationally recognized as Awareness Month. I think the point of the proclamation is that it brings awareness to a "syndrome" that is not very well known. With this awareness comes monetary support to the 2 EDS foundations and from there hopefully a cure or at least a helpful treatment. There are many people who do not even know that they have this and some even die and get diagnosed during autopsy.
