The original episode and song were among my least favorite (and the only AJ episode I didn't like), and this is so pointedly better that it only heightens my disappointment in the original.

Perhaps, although Assassins (of all musicals) is unusually suited for adaption to ponies due to the fairly even focus across the leads. But if I feel inspired, I'll go for it!
