I find in general the vast majority of England fans are sound and don't begrudge Ireland their current success. Obviously they have their share of idiots too.

However there are other countries who seem to be over burdened with their share of delusional, arrogant supporters who seem to firmly believe they are up there with the All Blacks in terms of their place in world rugby.

Well depends on what you mean by 'recent'.

We've lost the last 2, won the one before that, lost the one before that but won the 2 before that....

Point is we win there a lot unlike somewhere like Paris for instance.

I think you are mistaking arrogance for our unwillingness to continue being the perennial jolly good loser of yore.

Yes there are idiots but generally they know nothing about rugby whereas those who do tend to be much more measured and careful in their utterances.

Don't agree.

Yes it would be nice to go unbeaten all the way to winning the WC but a defeat in the 6Ns would not be the end of the world.

Schmidt is exactly the right man to use a defeat to tighten Ireland's systems and plans up even more and make a positive out of a negative.

They lost the first test against Australia but it didn't get to them and they went on to win the series.

On the other hand you get the impression that every defeat for England is another dagger to Jones' heart.

The only flaw in that argument is that both Ireland and England have a winning 6Ns records in Cardiff and have no fear of going there.

You can only deduce that he is under serious pressure and realises that this is a pivotal game in his time as England coach.

If he had total faith in his team and players he'd just get shut up and get on with preparing them for Saturday.

One enforced change hardly constitutes "too much experimentation".

Taking England too lightly?!?!

Have you not seen the levels of preparation and focus Schmidt has brought to the Irish system since he took over?

Have you (or SF) not seen Larmour defend?

He's a fine young player with bags of talent and potential and will be a great player for Ireland but put him in at 15 against England on the 1st weekend of the 6Ns??

Given that England have fairly telegraphed their intention to target the breakdown what's the betting the Irish coaching setup are hatching plans to avoid breakdowns as much as possible??
