We just need to win our next game - the team is desperate for 3 points and the fans should back them to achieve this. Once we get that win I believe we will see a more fluent, relaxed approach to our football. I will say this now - I think we will win 7 out of our remaining fixtures and go up probably as champions. Call me a mug if you want, but I still believe... Having said that, like most people that seem to be passing comment on this site at the moment, I am increasingly getting annoyed with Sam Allardyce and his negative approach. I would even go as far to say that if we don't go up this season that Gollivan should sell the club and move on - their project for WHUFC will have miserably FAILED. Having read his recent, very frank interview I think David Sullivan will be the first to admit that..

I'm actually quite pleased with that draw today... I think that either Reading or Southampton will screw it up - thanksfully there is still a lot of football to be played.. Reading have been on an unbelievable run and deserve their second place position for now, but they can't keep that run going for another ten games surely? They've won 9 out of their last 10 games! It will be impossible to keep that momentum going IMO....but we simply have to beat them at Upton Park - and I think we will! Southampton have been really fortunate in the games I've seen them. The game against Leeds away recently was ridiculously fortunate - they literally had one shot on target vs. Leeds' 30. I'm not convinced they are all that. They have some difficult games coming up against teams in and around the play offs - i'm certain that against these teams we will see what they are made of. What is also certain is we have to go on some sort of run of form ourselves, perhaps winning 7/8 out of the remaining fixtures. To do this we have to change our formation at home games to 4-4-2!!! It's plain to see that the reason we don't score enough goals is because the team is not set up to do so. We don't create enough chances!! So...4-4-2 against Boro - if we don't win I will concede that we are destined for the play offs!

What a terrible line-up! I will happily eat my words if I'm proved wrong, but the team looks very weak up front. What the hell has Maynard done to deserve a place in the starting eleven? I'll also be amazed if all 22 players stay on the pitch today - expect a rough ride at Elland road!

West Ham Till I Die : Home Form: Are We to Blame?

Sorry but this is absolute rubbish. I was at the game last night and hardly heard any booing. In fact, the crowd got right behind the team at every opportunity. The fans in the Trevor Brooking lower were really vocal and positive yesterday. Perhaps the problem is that we just aren't that great - remember it's only 5 weeks ago since this team lost 5-1 to Ipswich away. We kept hitting loads of 'hit and hope' long balls up the pitch last night which was very disappointing. Oh and Nolan must have been left in Cardiff because I didn't see him on the pitch last night.

West Ham Till I Die : Vote: Player Performances v Southampton

Poor discipline cost us 2 points today over our nearest rivals. Hopefully this won't cost us dear at the end of the season. Blackpool next and we need to win that game now - we can't afford to lose pace over the teams around us. Taylor and Nolan should have to earn their way back in to this West Ham team now!

That is the most bizarre team line up since Grant played 5 strikers! We're at home against one of the teams from the bottom of the league - it's ridiculous. I hope I eat my words, but with that line-up I'm starting to lose a bit of faith in Allardyce. We haven't been scoring of late so why would you play with no width and one striker who is struggling for goals...

5-1 - how depressing! I think the team were arrogant going to this game tonight, feeling that we had some divine right to win it just because we're top. It's the only explanation I can think of for such a shameful display.. Lots of work to be done Sam, let's not lose our focus now!!! ...and I'm not very impressed by our transfer activity either. A very weak effort during this window IMO. If you look at the players stats of those coming in - have we even strengthened??

"Morrison is a superb bit of business IMO" - only time will tell, this move is just a punt on a player who has scored 1 career goal. That's all, a punt...Nothing to get too excited about just yet!

West Ham Till I Die : More Clungetastic Gossip on the Transfer Front

I like the idea of Jelavic - he could possibly cut it in the premier league. Surely Rangers would take Carew and Piquionne in part exchange or on loan?? Carew would be perfect for the SPL...even if we have still pay a proportion of his wages. If it's true we have 10 mill we should go for Jelavic and Sordell..

West Ham Till I Die : Match Report: West Ham 2 Leeds 2

I think Carew needs to get on the tread mill...and not get off until next Sunday! Benni mkII....I hope not, but he was terrible. He's not fit probably...so then why play him? I still have faith this season, but agree we desperately need a striker and a right midfielder/ winger. Why did Coliison start instead of Barrera? Why have Gollivan not brought a striker to the club? We lack width and a natural striker. Gradel impressed me. If we sign him and Maynard before the window shuts I'll be happy. Otherwise I think it's a playoff spot for us this season.

Im hopeful that we'll get our first win of the season today. However, that shouldn't detract away from the main issue that should be concerning our club at the moment....we desperately need a new striker! Gollivan need to stump up £4-6 million for a young, exciting 15-20 goals a season player. Let's hope we don't leave it until the end of the month to secure a new striker. Teams always pay over the odds and end up with a panic buy...
