Spizman, the governments are "instituted by men" to "secure the inalienable rights". It does not say that different people have different rights just that these rights are endowed by the Creator and government was created by man to secure those rights. These rights are do not include the right to break laws. And it does not mean that you can break laws in the name of pursuing happiness. (I can't take my neighbors spouse or house or car just because I think it will make me happy). We have to abide by the laws. Our American born criminal loose rights of freedom (jail) and voting etc. when they break the law. Laws are necessary and without them chaos exists.
Are you calling MLK a racist? You forget that white Americans died on the battle field to stop slavery, that a white president fought against slavery, that whites voted to celebrate Martin Luther King Day every year as an American holiday. Our nation is not perfect, and we have made mistakes but carrying racism into the future doesn't make sense. Find another torch to carry -one that will benefit you and others.
I hope that you find love in your life and that love will drive the anger away from your heart. You are full of hate and anger and it will hurt you. Face your hurt and direct your energy toward positive steps that bring healing. Lashing out at others doesn't solve anything and it is a distraction from the real issue here. This is not about white and black but about policy.
Inalienable rights does not mean that you can come here or any other country illegally. I can't imagine going to any other country illegally and expecting them to look the other way. Our American born citizens that break the law are put in jail (loosing their freedom, right to vote etc). That is the price for breaking the law. Illegal aliens should NOT have the "right" to taxpayer money through welfare (PRINCIPLE #7 I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.) Just a side note: conservatives give more money, by far, than do liberals to charities. Obama's policies will not encourage charity.
Excellent! Some think that conservatives don't care about other people but the truth is that if we are strong as a nation we are more able to help others. You know when the oxygen mask drops in the airplane parents are instructed to put their own mask on before they help their child. We must have laws, boundaries and principles by which we govern ourselves. If we do not chaos will ruin and destroy our nation. PRINCIPLE #5 says: IF YOU BREAK THE LAW YOU PAY THE PENALTY. JUSTICE IS BLIND AND NO ONE IS ABOVE IT. I don't want the illegals to get out because I hate them, or because I am prejudice. I want them out because they are hurting our nation financially, economically and socially. They need to come in as legal citizens, abide the laws and contribute to the country as legal citizens.
Yes, if you define the problem as "We need to create jobs for legal Americans to save our country and way of life."
BUT... If you define the problem as "I need to create jobs and make it look like I am stimulating the economy but really I want to make everyone equally poor and dependent on ME AND MY BIG GOVERNMENT AND POWERFUL PALS". Then handing out jobs paid for by the taxpayers to illegals who don't pay taxes and give them health care while you are at it, then Obama's plan makes perfect sense.
When you break the law, you loose some of your rights. This is a fundamental concept and a necessary deterent for a society to work well. One of the key words in illegal immigrant is ILLEGAL! This is why the libs want to take this word away from the phrase. Ever notice how some people just try to change the truth? But truth is truth. We don't abuse the guilty but we should prosecute them and stop treating them like they are untouchable.
I think we should make a class action suit against the government for failure to protect us as American Citizens.
Fact is fact. The United States was founded on christian principles by christian men. "Bias and judgmental" people exist in every organization and in every area of every country across the world. I do agree that it is a shame when bias is found amoung christians or people who call themselves christian but this is a distraction from the real issue. Christian values are not bad, in fact, christian values are good and right for everyone even the athiest. Do not murder, do not lie, do not hurt others, defame their name.... This is not about shoving Jesus down anyone's throat it is about being good people and together a good strong nation. Values make us strong.
