Alec Baldwin: boon to public discourse, after all, calling someone "a festering boil on the anus" totally elevates the conversation. Moron.

The best anti-Moore documentary I've seen in MANUFACTURING DISSENT, which was made by a couple of lefty filmmakers looking to lionize Moore before they got close and discovered what a dangerous fraud he is. You get a lot of interesting views from people on both sides of the fence that seem to agree that Michael Moore is a charlatan who needs to take a hike.

Most people I know who also saw it had varying opinions on the ending. STRONG varying opinions.

Like I said, you know if they're your cup o' tea or not. If they're not, I completely understand :)

I saw TAKE SHELTER in the theater...and yes, yes. yes.

Watch the first one. If you like it, then you'll get some enjoyment from the sequels, the third one more so than the second.

He's doing another movie with Nic Winding Refn which apparently involves Thai boxing called "Only God Forgives"...so there you go! :)

I didn't know about that edition, but even if I did, I woulda caved anyway. It looked like it was selling like crazy when I was at the store.

I get that few enjoy soft-looking men playing action leads, because I normally don't, but Gosling is a big exception in DRIVE and it speaks to his skill as an actor.

I don't get the Ryan Gosling hate. DRIVE made me a fan of his, and I can't wait to see the movies he does with Terrence Malick and Nic Winding Refn in the future. I don't see anyone in the L.A. Times piece calling him a "star", but he does have a devoted following, I know a lot of people (most of them women) who'll see pretty much anything he does.
