Did you listen to what Newt had to say? He said that Gore was using faulty data and that the cost would be left on the taxpayers shoulders......He actually did a good job....And every scientist will admit that there is some human contributions to global warming. My husband who is conservative and works in the oilfields will even admit to that. But the extent of how much has always been the question. The left has blow it way out of proportion...And Fox news did report it, that's how I heard what Newt said in the hearings. They ran a clip of the proceedings...Of both Gore and Gingrich....

From Larry Shaughnessy CNN Pentagon Producer WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Missing vials of a potentially dangerous virus have prompted an Army investigation into the disappearance from a lab in Maryland. Fort Detrick is the home of the Army's top biological research facility. The Army's Criminal Investigation Command agents have been visiting Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland, to investigate the disappearance of the vials. Christopher Grey, spokesman for the command, said this latest investigation has found "no evidence of criminal activity." The vials contained samples of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis, a virus that sickens horses and can be spread to humans by mosquitoes. In 97 percent of cases, humans with the virus suffer flu-like symptoms, but it can be deadly in about 1 out of 100 cases, according to Caree Vander Linden, a spokeswoman for the Army's Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. There is an effective vaccine for the disease and there hasn't been an outbreak in the United States since 1971.

I think it was a little more than a few.....like 6 or 7 hundred. But considering it was given to 4-6 million people, I guess that's a few. They got GBS...it's something-Barr syndrome...lol I can't remember what the G stands for. I'm not an alarmist...but this does sound strange, you have to admit. That coupled with what's come up missing from labs lately kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I agree...however, they tried a vaccine in the 1970's at an Army base...which I believe was given to quite a few people, if I recall. Those people came down with something else wrong with them...So, I'm wondering just how long it will take to develope a vaccine for this one. They didn't get it right the first time...Right? If this is going to be a pandemic...I'd rather prepare now, than wait and possibly regret it. This isn't something I consider a light subject. Neither did the CDC...Mexico cancelled all class in Mexico City....quite a few people...I don't believe in the whole conspiracy thing....however, Mexico City is taking it quite seriously...

The World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland said at least 57 have died in the outbreak, although it wasn't yet clear if this larger number of deaths was due to swine flu.
