This upsets me. I'm from a town where if you don't speak spanish you can't get a job. I have absolutely no problem with legal immigrants, but when we are having a huge number of American's unemployed, it's the illegal one's I have a huge problem with.
I think that we should round up every illegal and deport them, by any means. If they want to be here, I think they should have to wait at least six years before they can come back and go through the legal channels this time.

but I will admit when I am wrong. I posted in response to what I heard yesterday. Today, I still think that it is stupid to bring up McVeigh, but we should start doing more for our vets to prevent
Excuse me, but bringing up Mcveigh is stupid. He was messed up long before he ever went into the military. I find it disgusting that anyone could even suggest anything like this. If we took the time to help the vets even more instead of assuming that even a few could join extremest groups, then maybe we could help discourage those who would turn to these groups.

The thing with McVeigh is he was messed up long before he joined the military. The atrocities he witnessed while overseas just added to the problems in his head. And I'm not saying we shouldn't be vigilant, but to just assume right off the bat that every veteran coming back from the war has been indoctrinated to extreme right ways of thinking is horrible, disgusting and disrespectful to the people who have been fighting to keep this country safe.
Then I am damn proud to be on that list.
It's just hard to keep that in mind when the vets that they are trying to demonize are the people I went to high school with and have know for most of my life.
