I've heard of it happening with primates - there is video footage that I saw some years ago, and it was quite confronting. I believe the circumstances were desperate.

I first encountered this one in audiobook form. I have a physical copy now, but I remember my impressions of the plot/characters more than I remember the actual words and quotes.
Reading my copy parallel to Mark is fun.

My other half (nicknamed "the fella") and I booked our tickets and accommodation for Nullus Anxietas in Adelaide! First weekend in August.

No local 'Big Thing' where I live, but I remember seeing The Big Merino and going past The Big Banana on long driving trips.

Been to and past Gumbuya Park a few times, it's notable for the giant pheasant.

Somebody set the bird's backside on fire 5 years ago, causing $50,000AUD worth of damage. The picture I posted here was in the news article.

I decorated my first pavlova for Christmas.
Had not had the opportunity/space/time before then, so I did not know what to include.Thankfully my 11yo niece took control of the artistic direction, was floundering before that!
I ended up using kiwifruit, strawberries, blueberries, passionfruit pulp and whipped cream.
Storebought base, and it turned out pretty tasty.

Looks like my image tags were working, though I had the html keys instead of comment box keys in my brain.
