Punk had no business being in the UFC. I dont knock him for wanting to try MMA, i knock him for taking a big pay day and a spot on ufc's roster when he knew he hadnt earned it...especially after he complained to no end about part time wrestlers coming in and getting big paydays.

I respect that he was willing to walk away from a multi million dollar contract for his happiness. But I also think it's BS that he is able to get a multi million dollar ufc contract based solely on his name because he has not earned a ufc contract. There are guys who have been fighting for 10 years and starving trying to earn a UFC contract, meanwhile Punk comes in with no amateur wrestling pedigree, no golden gloves, no judo, etc background with his only training comng from part time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I will come back and give it up to Punk big time if he pulls out a win because I just dont see it happening. He doesnt have the experience, the training, and he is starting out at an age when the reflexes start to slow down and your body starts to betray you.
I respect him for trying, but Id respect him a helluva lot more if he wasnt taking a big time spot on the card that another ufc fighter deserves....and I wouldnt even be as bothered by that if he didnt gripe about that very thing when Rock came back.

And no, Punk won't do well. He doesn't have the pedigree or the experience.
Punks so called mma training is the equivalent to the guy who dominates the local ymca basketball pick up games deciding to join the nba.
The guys in ufc have been training since they were teens and most were amateur wrestling champions, golden gloves champions etc before joining ufc.
A lot of people consider it hating on cm punk, I call it being realistic. Most athletes hit their peaks in their mid 20's and have lost a lot of physical skill by the time they hit punks age because of injuries and aging.
brock lesnAr is a one in a billion freak athlete that couldn't cut it in the nfl....bc the guys in the nfl have done nothing but play football since they were 8 years old and received the best coaching at some of the best high schools and universities in the country.
People underestimate how far cm punk is behind compared to ufc guys, not to mention he's nowhere near the athlete that a Brock Lesnar is. Even if he somehow wins, he would be embarrassed by the elite competition, and he stands a good chance of getting embarrassed by the scrub they put up against him

Punk was very vocal on television and in many interviews in his criticism over The Rock main eventing Wrestlemania. As you clearly pointed out, the two situations couldn't be any more different and here is why......The Rock had earned the right to be on a Wrestlemania card. He earned it when he got over after WWF management had given up on pushing Rocky Maivia. He earned it when he wrestled with a non-guaranteed contract with none of the perks that guys like CM Punk had in their contracts. The Rock earned his Wrestlemania spot by being one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling. He earned his spot by getting over in one of, if not THE, greatest era's of professional wrestling. Fans chose to stand behind Rock when they had the choice of cheering for DX, nWo, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Goldberg, Bret Hart, Benoit, Guerrero, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, DDP, Sting, Edge & Christian.
Compare that to Punk in the UFC. He has no professional fights. He has no amateur background in boxing, wrestling, nor any martial art. He wasn't a collegiate athlete, didn't participate, let alone excel, at high school football, baseball, track team or anything else involving athleticism.
His only qualification (if we can even call it that) is training in jiu jitsu with the Gracie's whenever his schedule allowed. In one of Joe Rogan's podcast, they said Punk's training would be the equivalent to a white belt and he has dabbled in kenpo.
So once again, I say you were 100% correct. The two situations are nothing alike. Punk was griping about Rock being in the main event even though Rock is a bonafide legend in wrestling and likely ranks as #3 of all time greatest pro-wrestlers in terms of popularity, only behind Austin and Hogan. Rock paid his dues, and he did it when the WWF was on the brink of going out of business. The Rock had every right to be on the Wrestlemania card. Punk has absolutely no business being on a UFC card, the only thing that qualifies him is his drawing ability.
There are guys much more deserving and much more talented who will never get the chance to fight in the UFC, much less headline a pay-per-viiew. Punk's fans see nothing wrong with that and they will excuse his blatant hypocrisy. But I've always said that Punk could shove a 90 year old blind woman down a flight of stairs or repeatedly back up and run over a 10 year old with stage 4 cancer and Punk fans would justify it somehow.

So even tho i doubt it, I am willing to believe that its possible that Hogan and Savage settled their differences......even tho it still makes Hogan a douche because he did that Canadian interview where he trashed Randy. So that just makes Hogan two faced instead of a liar. But who knows? Hogan was trying to tell everyone that he was in Metallica not too long ago.

But Hogan and Warrior reconciled Wrestlemania weekend. Had It not been captured on camera and Hogan was the only source, I never would have believed it.

Warrior and Savage were very good friends. I wish Warrior were still here. I believe he could have given Savage a great induction just like he gave a great tribute when Savage passed.

His diehard fans treat him like he is the god incarnate and they would take up for him if he punched an old man and pushed him down a flight of stairs.
Yet all the while he doesnt give two pieces of crap about them.
