Sheltered ME to much? My dad's put his life on the line fighting in wars and conflicts for the past 30 years. My mom's a cop. My brother nearly died in Iraq two years ago and it took him a whole year just to learn how to walk again. Who do you think you are, telling me that my parents have sheltered me and my siblings too much? They feel that we've seen to much of hate and nastiness and destruction which is why their so careful with whatever we view on tv and the net. That HGTV is a family friendly tv channel escaped your notice. That you've no morals or ethics or compassion or common sense hasn't escaped mine, lady. Drop off and don't bother replying back. And no, Dad doesn't know I'm on the 'puter, cause if he did I wouldn't have one anymore. Hateful hag.

Click went the tv and we got sent outta the room pronto. Dad started making angry phone calls. You think what Antonio did was okay, lady? Then your just as vile and repulsive as that dude. You can add my whole family, which I'm sure's including all of the relatives across the states {I can hear Dad yelling into the phone as I type, and I'm in another room} to the not watching Antonio team. That comment about the headboard he made, with me and my little sister watching. Nu-huh, no way. Cripes, Dad's hotter than a pistol. This was HGTV programming. Supposed to be family friendly on a Sunday evening. That....no way was THAT family friendly. What was the editing team thinking?

My whole family and I was watching and my sister was totally grossed out just like the rest of us. She's twelve. Antonio says like "make sure the headboards secured tight cause this is the place I'm gonna get busy" or something like that and all those guys in there started laughin real dirty like. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Dad turned off the tv and sent us to our rooms and that man ain't ever gonna be on our tv again. I can still hear dad yellin in the other room, he's so PO'd it ain't funny.

The guy was horrible & designs weren't WOW, unless ya mean WOW in a bad way. And his comments? I'm totally totally repulsed. My 12 year old sister gasped and said "nasty" when the headboard comment was made and all those guys started with the dirty laughing. Dad switched the tv off and we all had to go to our rooms. That ain't hatred, that's the plain unvarnished truth of it all. Antonio's shows been canceled in our house. Never gonna be allowed back on the tv.

So you're saying that Antonio's not innovative either, right, 'cause I'm pretty darn sure he concealed a TV too. His work speaks for itself? Yea, that's true. It screams "I'm dangerously untalented and don't deserve a tv show." The pictures someone else took of his work speaks to the photographers skill & not Tony's, cuz if that wasn't so then how come Tony's rooms didn't look so great on HGTVs cameras?

Wow factor...yea, as in WOW what have you done to my place and I'm so gonna hurl! His "designs" should come with those green yukky face poison stickers. I don't like his 'designs' or his 'tude, that's not what's cool to me and wouldn't dream of wreckin' my place with that type of 'wow' factor. Haha that's just silly. If Antonio was so all fired dead set against tan paint and was just standin' up for what he so called believe in, then why'd the dude agree to allowin' tan part of the color choice in the first place, huh? If he was so all fire dead set against it why did he take his teams trust and flush it by deliberately forgetting to get a paint color they'd all ageed on? If he was so all fire dead set against tan - on a Navy base, which btw, ain't TAN by any stretch of the imagination, hello...navy blue anyone...whites...anyone...I've lived on base a lot with my family, not a lot of tan...red bricks, white buildings, green...yea sure. That sure didn't look like base housin' either. Anywhoo, why'd he do all that then lie and betray his team by not gettin' what they'd agreed to? Why didn't he just have those so called guts of his stand up and be heard and counted in the first place instead of caving like a noodle in hot water like what he did? And that's the REAL DEAL there. Last yearz challengers was picked by 5 people to be on the show. Not 3. 5....3 'official' judges and 2 HGTV exec producers. So can we assume the same for every year? Yea I do think so. If they getz to vote on the incoming then they should be getting a vote on the outgoing, right? So's its not just the 3 votin' people off the wayz its seen on TV. All the challengers have said they had the feelin' the judges were pushin' for it to be down to the men, and lookee whats happened? Down to two men. Why make such a big stinkin' deal outta the carpentry this year when its never been major before, and a yard challenge? C'mon people, yeah ladies like to work outside - but doing hard hard labor like that? No wayz. That was meant to drop one of the girls. I ain't sayin' it was rigged but I am sayin' it was 'steered really hard' to get to that final challenge. If it wasn't the talent they was judged on in the final challenge? Then one man was picked over the other for just being different. That ain't right.

I said nothing about tan paint but since yur the one to bring her up, the dude lied & by doing that he cheated his teammates outta what they ALL agreed on. Don't matter if it worked out, he's still a jerk cuz he did it. Just cuz editing of the show......and we ALL knowz about the editing, right....shows the dude shakin' hands don't mean the others didn't do the same & that just got cut to the floor. I was judgin' by behavior which some of youz seem willin' to pretend never happened cuz a guyz willing to destroy a house with so called designs by 'thinkin' oustide a box'.

What did Dan do that was so fantastic? He made a disjointed house into a beautiful home that functions on all levels, met the requests of the family and surpassed 'em, and what's more, nothin gotta be fixed or added or altered. The family absolutely loves it & have said so many times since the last show aired. But what did Antonio do that the Starr family didn't hafta go back & fix & add stuff 2 make it livable? Could you totally live in that green room? I wouldn't wear that color as a shirt, I deff do NOT want it on my walls. Nice to move the door so's 2 not see the john but what lady wants 2 share a sink when she didn't hafta before Antonio 'fixed' the house? That god-awful fugly wood thing at the fireplace. GAG. The little red chair is cool but hows a family & company & stuff gonna sit altogether when all the furnitures shoved away from the couch & off to the corners? They gonna have to do the exorcist head twisty thing or turn into an owl to see each other when they talk. I C the kid had a baby bed before and now he's still got it just without the bars & it's like all shoved in a corner. Gonna give the poor kid a complex and wassup with the stars? I get it was about the family name but didn't Antonio hear the judges drone about wall treatments not being the only way 2 have a focal feature in a room? No place to stick toys & books & blocks & shoes & whatever kids need to have picked up and put away. 2 teeny foot stools to sit? What, the kid never gonna have company and the parents gonna enjoy being in there with no real place to rest their rumps on? The kitchen was nice. That's alls I can say about it tho'. He colored some walls, put furniture in odd places, & took away from the house while totally dropping the ball on what the family needed. Instead of making it a warm, functional, fun, funky home that met all their needs, alls they got is a house they hafta fix up again. So what was so majorly amazing about Antonio's 'outside of the box' design? That he was willin' to go in & do that to somebody's real house? Am I missin' somthing?
