Data corruption can do strange things to your village, and my guess is that you could lose it all if you don't go back in time. The restore feature is limited to a certain number of days, so don't wait. If you wait, then all your backups might have corrupt data, too. I'm guessing that BeeLine, after attempting to give a great Christmas gift to their players, is heaving a mighty sigh as they read the complaints. To me, that is the point. Whether or not I love Poet, and whether or not I want to make room for him in some bright (or remote) spot, what has actually occurred is we have been given a gift. Personally, even if I'm not especially fond of a Christmas or birthday gift, I still say thank you to the giver, AND I sincerely do appreciate the time and effort they spent selecting that gift, paying for it, and wrapping it for me to open. On Christmas Day, when I tapped that Smurfy gift-wrapped box to open it, I was VERY surprised that BeeLine gave me a Smurf! I didn't have to earn it by leveling up, nor did I have to spend those earned coins, or precious smurfberries. BeeLine created a quaint home for this new smurf, and the soft colors look wonderful when I placed some of the newer lavender shrubbery around it. And I really do appreciate a game developer who takes the time and effort to say "thank you" for my business by creating something new, and giving it to me for free. Most of the holiday decor looks like it will stick around, with the only disappearing items related to the snow (fine with me, I live with snow in my backyard half of the year). Well done, Bee-Line!! They have created a game with potential to keep players engaged DAILY for YEARS. This is remarkable! So many of us love our Smurfs Villages, and we are willing to pay some real money to make our village a bit more fun and interesting. We have brought our real-life friends and family to the Village, and we have met many new friends through our gifting, and through places like this web-site. BeeLine could have chosen to keep the updates "special" (a few times a year, very cool new decorations, holiday festivities, rewards at each new level, and a new smurf now and then). EOs are fine but couldn't they be 2.99 USD? I think BeeLine could have chosen to build a growing and sustaining empire, if they had given a highly respectful nod to the faithful players at each update. This game has had me engaged for several years, which is a crazy phenomenon because I'm not otherwise "into" games on my iDevices. I've known for a very long time that BeeLine had created a recipe for greatness here. And I am so very disappointed that BeeLine has chosen to exploit my loyalty. Gosh, I have many hundreds of hours of time invested in my Smurfs Village. I'll never get that time back. I really wonder if it's been worth it.
