KATU - Portland, OR : Put. The. Grenades. Down. Now. Please! | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | News

Many explosives are stable. The type used in these grenades was probably highly stable considering the enviroment they were designed to be carried and used in. Problem is that chemicals can deteriorate over time. These were pretty old grenades. It is better to err on the side of safety and not move them if you don't have to. IMHO

KATU - Portland, OR : $1.5 million for Adams\' public records? Huh? | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon| Local

The $1.5 was probably just a delaying tactic. Slowed the process so Adams could either purge files or prepare a defense for what will be found in them. Obviously Adams has reached a point where he has zero dignity and zero sense of moral or ethical discipline. Most normal people would be so humiliated that they would have left the office right after the public confession. He has gone so far at this point that nothing short of a recall or legal action is going to unseat him. The rest of the council could remove him I think. They are becoming more and more to blame as the days go by and they don't act. Political creatures, about their own survival rather than doing the right thing. Despicable. Clean house and start all over.

Sigh... Clearly. Also, being intelligent enough to be a 'slow aviator' you do realize that 'PDX' is often used in electronic media (particularly by locals) to reference the city in non airport related conversation. Right? Or is that some kind of faux paus among 'av8rs'?

Sounds like manufacturing is remaining in Southern Oregon. There is alway the chance that could move up here too. But hey, every 10/20 jobs helps, imported or not.

The leasing of office space is good. Not much of that going on around here. Wonder how many of the 20 +/- employees will not actually reside in PDX. But at least its something.

I'm sorry. Growing up must mean a $trillion pork infested government spend and splurge. How about your employer take out a massive loan against massive debt? Good idea. Like they havent been watching the past 8 years. Borrowing and Spending is killing us. So, more borrowing and spending will revive us right? RIGHT? Ask Japan how that worked out for them. (hint, 'lost decade'). So I guess, grow up yourself. By the way, this is not a partisan comment. ALL of government spends OUR money poorly and without restraint.

Uh, they envisioned an independant people free of government control for the most part. Not a people that were mostly public employees and in hopeless federal debt. Let's also not forget the pesky 'taxation without representation' thing as well. I am not naive. I know the last admin spent like drunken sailors. Problem is, the new one is making them look like preschoolers in that area in just a few short weeks. I bet you wouldnt try to borrow and spend your way out of bankruptcy.

We want to see BHO succeed in rebuilding America. We dont want to see him succeed in creating a socialist nanny state which is hopelessly in debt. Do YOU think it's a good idea to borrow like theres no tomorrow when you are already badly in debt? I would bet you dont run to the bank and ask for a lone of triple what you are already in debt for do you. Unless of course you are one of those who are hoping for BHO to pay for your home, car etc.... Which I highly doubt you are.

These points are based in fact. Comments supporting any cause could possibly be labeled as propaganda. Please note, In 1 month BHO has far surpassed the budget deficit grown under 8 years of the previous admin. When you are hurting financially and greatly in debt, do you go out and borrow even further beyond your means? Hopefully you are smart enough to know better. Seems someone in DC does not.

The purpose for capital punishment. He will spend his life in prison. Probably more comfortable than his life on the street. There is a small chance that he might not of killed her if he thought he would get death for it. Even though the death penalty is available, I find it highly unlikely he will face it. But if he does, it will be many many years down the road. By they way, our children are not allowed to carry anything resembling a weapon to school. How could she of possibly defended herself? I am not advocating in particular that kids should carry weapons. Just thinking outloud about how we could stop these heinous things from happening.
