<description>I think we need economic policies that don&amp;#039;t penalize those who are responsible with their finances, who live within their means, who save for their children&amp;#039;s education, for their retirement, and for a rainy day. The economy of insatiable and ever growing consumption is simply not sustainable. Yet, newspaper headlines paint gloomy pictures like &amp;quot;people not spending much his Holiday Season&amp;quot;. I celebrate such headlines.  What the government can do is work to create productive jobs as part of a sustainable and green economy and make sure that jobs that are productive (useful to society) pay decent and competitive wages.  The free ride of speculators has to end. </description>
