Gives the VA and your particular branch more time to loose your records. Just like they did for me, continuous service from 1982 to 1992. But amazingly, there are six years missing, according to VA. And its on me to PROVE myself!!!!! Well how about photos of birthdays parties at home, and dad not in the pictures! How about photos of me reenlisting on the bridge of the USS San Diego? What exactly DO they want from me? The civilian support of the military is more hideous than the military itself !

Thank you posting this list. My Congressman is on the healthcare task force. From what I read concerning their mission, they are to promote better public-private relations in the industry. Seems like they are really promoting something outside of their stated mission.

The Japanese also wore uniforms and represented the government and people of Japan. These terrorists do not represent a government, and they do not wear a uniform. Therefore, they are not covered by the rules of the Geneva Conventions. Get that into your head and shake it around a bit. The terrorists are not fighting a political war, they are fighting a religious war. Obama made a big mistake by leaving open the door for prosecuting former Bush officials and lawyers who advised them. If these people are prosecuted, then in the future, it will be very difficult for the government ot obtain advise in the event of future national security problems. No one will want to reach out if their hand is going to be slapped. Agreed, it might be considered torture, but if the tactics did not violate the geneva conventions, then what is the problem?

First, I would like to thank you for your sacrifice. As a veteran, I want to say that Janet Napalatano' smirking apology does not go far enough. I think she should resign. I am asking all 912ers to write or call your representative and demand her resignation. She is in charge of the DHS and she had the ability to change the language in that report, but she failed to do so, and did not change it in order to make a political statement. Shameful for a government employee to continue the dividing of the American people. She must go!

At my local tea party, we agreed over and over that these parties were not about Republican and Democrat, left or right. Our tea party had NO politicians speaking. Last night, Hannity had several Republican guests. And today, Yahoo has an article about the GOP wanting to jump on the tea party train and use it to their advantage. How about if we tell the Repubs and Democrats to take a hike. I am not going to participate in this great idea if the same old politicians are going to take advantage of us. They need to drop out of their parties and go independent if they want me to listen to anything they have to say. It has already been proven that these two parties can not do the job of the peoples work. No politics!!!!!!! This is about AMERICA!

I might be mistaking, but I believe that years ago, women pushed for the RIGHT to vote. And after the civil war, blacks were awarded the right to vote. Yes voting is a right. Even some people who commit felonies are stripped of their right to vote. So how about if we strip non taxpayers of their right to vote.

I would like to see service in the government set up in this manner. For congress and senate, You put your name on a list, stating that you would like to serve your respective area. A team of volunteer, local citizens put you through a vetting process. If you clear the vetting process, your name goes on the ballot. If you are elected, you are sent to Washington for one term. All terms would be two years. During that term, you earn leave time, like the military does. You don't leave Washington for anything except to use your earned leave or family emergencies. This business of only having candidates that have the big bucks for a campaign is the basis in my opinion for a large amount of the corruption in Washington, and it starts at the local and regional level. Most of these congressmen and senators are corrupted Before they get to Washington. Let us "We The People" choose the candidates, not candidates put up and supported by businesses (large or small) Also, we need to put an end to the Democrat vs Republican stuff. An honest person would not have to hide behind a party label.

Congressman Charlie Wilson (D) Ohio, intends to introduce legislation to prohibit companies that took bailout money from changing their pay structure. The bill is called The TARP Wage Accountability Act. It will prohibit companies from eliminating a bonus structure to a higher wage structure. I personally have a problem with the Congress jumping to rewrite laws to cover their own back ends. I believe that Congress should be honorable and STAND UP, accept the blame for their mistake in regards to AIG. Aren't there any Honorable Representatives in Congress? I do not believe that AIG should be forced to return the money, and I am especially ashamed that our Congress would get themselves and the PEOPLE worked up into a frenzy, to the point where peoples lives are in jeopardy. Congress just needs to accept that they made the mistake, they write the rules in this games. It doesn't matter what the AIG employees did or didn't do. Our Congress points fingers at those people and they say, the AIG people are losers that drove the company into the ground. Then WHY would our Congress invest billions of dollars in a company run by losers? Why would they invest many more billions of dollars in all of those other companies run by losers? Who are the real losers out there? I believe they are the people writing the rules. Disgusting!
