The "rear echelon" units are the worst. You would not believe how fat some of the soldiers are at the Walter Reed AMC and their Chain-of-Command lets them get away with it. The females are the worst, I did not know that a "soldier" could be so fat on active duty. At least the Infantry units still demand that physical standards be met. Just check out Butner Road on Fort Bragg to see units of the 82d Airborne still going on six-mile runs, shouting cadence all the way. The Army should keep the long runs in addition to adding the new exercise plan. With this administration, America is going downhill fast.
