ANYTHING by Haruki Murakami is completely mind blowing.

Kafka on the Shore is like nothing I've ever read before, and also, I think (?) Murakami was in the running for the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2010 (but he did not win obviously). He is my absolute favorite author, ever!

To add to Fran's description, the novel switches from two different viewpoints that somehow become interrelated through a series of events, there are REALLY peculiar characters, and some really interesting life lessons and creepy dream sequences.

Nothing to add really, but I think that when the movie comes out Thresh and Cato will have their moment on screen to really battle it out (however they did it...a thunderstorm was involved somehow though. We know that much!), and we will get to see on the screen what we couldn't read in the books. I CAN'T WAIT.

I could only find one of Skipper getting hit with a pie, but I thought it was appropriate. Gilligan can be Peeta, throwing his PIES at Haymitch...somehow Marianne fits in as Katniss somehow. It's all coming together.
