And even more poignant is that all these quotes comes from legends in their own right. Thanks Gav for posting these.

The media are all over these DS comments this morning - Iain, I just hope you get all the credit you desrve for enthralling interview. Having read the full transcript it's fascinating to see how the press pick up on little words here and there to sensationalise and exagerate.
Looking forward to part 7.

Quite possibly, although G & S will need to get their stories straight. DG has recently said the stadium could be extended to cope with 45k but the infrastructure can't be - so staying is not a viable option. DS seems to be saying it is a distinct possibility. Also, if, as we have read recently ,there are 16 parties interested in taking over the OS G&S could come unstuck if they are playing hardball. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Great stuff agan Iain - reading between the few lines that DS has allowed himself to say I get the impression that staying at UP is his preferred option now. Not so long ago he was saying it could never happen.

I think G & S have learnt their lesson about speaking out in public - their silence this year has been both deafening and much welcomed. Maybe Big Sam has been an influence on that - I'm sure he wouldn't put up with what GFZ went through.
And long may their silence continue. I've hated the last few seasons where we have been in the public eye week in / week out. Lets just quietly get on and get the job done.

I think the one complaint was enough to give the very jittery OPLC an excuse to pull out and not have to use the Spuds and Orient legal action as a reason - it was an easy way out for them.
And this architect fella - he's coming out of the closet now but he designed the f'kin place!!

I can see the value of putting Tomkins there if (when !!) we go down to 10 men but not sure we should be starting with him there. Don't get me wrong, he would always be one of the first names on the team sheet but Patrick Viera he aint. He is the best centre half at the club so he should be playing at centre half, in my opinion. The idea of a defensive midfielder (when you have 11 players on the pitch) is to break down the oppositions attacks and start your own attacks which is why I don't like to see Sam starting with Tomkins in midfield. As Tomkins develops into an even better player I can see him (Bobby Moore like) bringing the ball out of defence with aplomb - letsdevelop the great skills he has already.
