The reason we are there..honestly is because We as consumers demand it ... For everyone who says we need time away for family,there are many more who are like " Oh looky... there's a 50" 120hz flat panel for $220 thats a doorbuster-Im gonna have to get that ". We dictate change by our spending habits....fugg the greater good or morality...its about all about yearly earnings baby..return on investment. You can have the holidays back only if people would rebel against the Thanksgiving day opens and shop on friday like we used to...but that wont happen.

i'm against the ban for this simple reason: the criminal element gives ZERO fuggs about one and will still have access to weapons. Hell Chicago has had the ban on ownership of a handguns for over 25 years...and look at whats happening today. Its damn near the wild west. In this case the guns were purchased for personal defense. And like one would expect everyone was taught how to use them. I can't condemn his mother because her actions are not yet known ( for all we know she may have tried to stop him). All im seeing is "knee jerk" reactions...but what I have seen as a common thread is the actors all had some mental health issues but did not get the help they needed.
