Ask your local carrier if they have measured rate service, or something similar. You basically get a certain number of minutes to use each month and it will be a fraction of the cost of a regular phone line. Another plus for a landline is that if you use a corded phone, it works even if your electricity goes out.

You're such a kind person, always ready to share something personal to uplift the mood on a day when it's needed around here. What a lovely family. Thank you.

The video was lovely. I really enjoyed visiting the website and looking at some of his work throughout the years. It really does make you realize how quickly time goes by and how precious each day is.

Fellow Idahoan, hi Ross. I live in a 99% zone and had not really made any plans or bought into the eclipse hype at all. So I didn't have any glasses and being the procrastinator that I am, I was up until 5 AM researching nearby towns that were within the zone of totality and trying to decide if it would be worth risking traffic. I lucked out and left my house with less than hour to go and arrived about 10 minutes before the eclipse.

It truly was an amazing experience and I am so happy I went. I didn't have glasses but I knew when it was safe to look because I could hear people from all over cheering. It was without a doubt one of the most incredible things I've ever experienced.

Received the following text from a number I don't recognize just now:

"Hey! It's me, Ive send you message in new social network. Waiting for your reply... http://ggd[dot]su"

Apparently .su is a Russian domain. Those Russians are simply everywhere these days. I took a pass on the preview link they included.

I'm really sorry to hear that this has happened to you. I'm almost certain the company you're talking about is my employer. I spent some time on a team that handled escalations that came from the BBB and PUC. None of what you describe surprises me in the least, unfortunately.

If you send an email to the CEO that should get someone from the escalation department to reach out to you. Your BBB complaint may get forwarded to them anyway, but the email would likely expedite things.

Again, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I don't disagree with your feelings on telecommunication providers. If you can't find the email address for the CEO after a quick google search, let me know and I can give it to you.

I've been reading for 6 years now, which is crazy! I'm not sure what that translates to in lurker years. I do remember the great migration from Crosstalk. I had been reading Gawker for years and always found the people commenting to be the best part of the site.

I live in Idaho. This week has made me want to move more than ever. I have a dog and a cat. I don't hate mayo or cilantro.
