Here I sit dismayed like everyone else. Can't believe I searched out a site to grieve for a TV show, but Saving Grace was exceptional! All the characters lovable and believable. Just loved Earl's laugh! I loved Grace and Rhetta's relationship. We all want relationships like these, especially an undying love between two strong characters that got each other. Ham and Grace's love was destructive on some levels, but we still wanted them together. Ham's devotion to Grace was what made the show for me, as well has her relationship with the said above. I also love Ham and Butch fighting over Grace. Sad that they made Bobby's storyline a weak point. I feel Bobby's character and the Captain's was just token characters with poor storyline. They could have done much better for them both. I do believe the ending was extremely disappointing, on many levels. I do believe Grace and Ham should have ended up together! Enough said on that! I could never make the connection between Grace and the side characters she was suppose to impact. They all died anyway. As far as her behavior changing very little would not send her to Hell. God judges us on more than just our bad actions in life. Grace was more than just her bad habits. I'm going to miss the show and their relationships of family in the work place and out! I think that's why the show was so successful. We all want to be loved and cared about fearcly, and to give back the same. Oh.....and who didn't love the practical jokes? The best! I do pray for a return of the show. In my book...they find Grace's body, which is a miracle, and the story continues with Ham putting the ring on her finger as she's preparing to head to the hospital. They could have done wonderful things during her recovery, like life after death and her returning. See, I should have written the ending!
