Eeee! Finally! This episode! Which I will always love and adore because I own that knife! Not the one they actually used, but I have my very own! And it is so wicked looking! It's a Gil Hibben knife called the Jackal.

Heh, no. The lunch lady thing was always planned. Xander even has a joking line about the lunch lady trying to kill everyone early in the episode.

I always thought that Buffy realized that Faith wasn't on the up and up when they went to get the books from the demon's apartment and Faith knew, without looking, where the light switch was.

Just an fyi, the shooting scripts for most Buffy episodes are available at www.buffyworld.com. Back when the shows were airing, I posted them on my website (The Buffy Shooting Script Site - how original!) but my site was shut down by Fox lawyers. I still managed to get the scripts out there after that though.

I always found the shooting scripts to be a fascinating read because you got a bit of insight into what the writers were thinking. (Plus drafts were so much fun because you got to see how things changed!)

That's awesome about the script! I moved across the country and ended up leaving them behind. But at least they're still readily available on the net if I get the urge to read one! (Which I still use them to look things up!)

And you guys (the script elves) were a huge help!

I seem to recall that the script had to be rewritten at the last minute because Juliet Landau was originally supposed to be in it, but ended up not being able to do it. So Joss stepped in at the last minute and heavily rewrote the script.
