We have a single payor system, MEDICARE it works fine, with the exception of PART D, MEDIGAP and MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS which were farmed out to the private insurers, had PART D remained within the Medicare single payor system it would have been a success for the American people. That change along with the elimination of the Medigap and Medicare Advantage Plans we would have a great start. From there offer Medicare to every citizen based on their income and resources. We now have Universal Health Care, and we already know it works, as long as we keep the private sector out, and treat the pharmaceutical companies and physicians in a capitalistic manner (negotiate $$). It seems so simple! Has anyone thought, it might be? So what do we do with all of the insurance companies and their employees? Nothing, we are a capitalist society, our government should not interfere with private industry!
