Drew McIntyre would love to talk to you about strapping a rocket to his back.

Are you implying that anyone back in the true PPV era had a voice to begin with? I don't remember having one.

Owens, Zayn, Strowman. No reason a trade couldn't be made for Corbin, Wyatt, Styles.

Extending Lesnar's ability to make a star isn't nearly as meaningful when his ability to make a star has been diluted to the nth degree by losing to Goldberg.

Only when framed as, "Goldberg got the rub to give to someone else, while Brock is also able to give a smaller rub elsewhere" does this equation start to make sense.

I.e. The impossibility of Goldberg getting pinned clean by KO at Fast Lane, and finding a clean way to job Lesnar to Strowman or Corbin.

We all know that's not happening. In all likelihood, the Universal Title is a prop that's diluted by having Owens win dirty (distraction/interference at Fast Lane, I'm not one of those guys that thinks Lesnar/Goldberg at Mania needs nor will have a belt on the line), Lesnar gets revenge at Mania, Goldberg rides off into the sunset, and we're back where we started with Lesnar able to give a sizable, yet less impactful rub than he would have been able to give had there been no Goldberg nonsense to begin with, at which point I would expect Mr. Balor to receive said rub...which would then get transferred to heel Reigns, and then we're really stuck.

Ah of course! As the Memorial Battle Royal has been a strong indicator of ensuing pushes to the World Title picture, just like Cesaro, the Big Show, and Baron Corbin, all of whom went on to have strong World Title runs in the months following their respective victories.

Your fantasy booking is almost as bad as your pretense of financial expertise.

Yes I could do better.

No I won't do it in your comments section just so you can get 4 more views.

This is the deal:

Bayley was great for the women's division in NXT, but she didn't CARRY the division for the majority of her tenure. In fact, she wasn't even the focal point of the division until the matches with Sasha. Paige, Charlotte, Sasha, and even Becky got the shine before Bayley.

Sami Zayn was an impact player from day one. When Bayley was still needing a rub from Regal ("You're my daughter's favorite wrestler"), Sami was out there making NXT into the beast that it is now with the matches against Cesaro.

I appreciate Bayley (although I think she's SLIGHTLY overrated), but this is Sami in a landslide, without a doubt.

Regardless of if the ban is a work or not, if Rollins is going to be a main-event wrestler for years to come, this would REALLY be an ideal time to let him put over a submission finisher. I'm not saying I know what it should be, but you know he's gonna have to wrestle in submission/I Quit matches left and right, might as well give him a sub finisher and give him time to get it over.

While that rumble was just booked terribly (and I'm not even referring to the actual outcome, which I have my own feelings about), I think most people are looking at this in a fairly myopic manner. This whole authority angle has been about antagonizing both the casual fan and the smark by portraying those in power as 'out-of-touch', 'anti-little guy', and as people who know what we as fans want more than US.

Well....Roman Reigns fits that mold. To a T. They could choose to turn him heel given the reactions he usually gets, but also, use this as a way to fully turn Lesnar face (he's virtually already done that).

I don't think we were supposed to like Roman Reigns winning the Rumble.

Because of Rollins' MITB situation and what now is a rivalry of sorts with Lesnar, and how naturally over Ambrose is, a Reigns win is really just about continuing to meta-work us as fans while maintaining the ability to throw all three former Shield Members into a triple threat match, and allow for more flexibility in the heel/face dynamics of the rest of the main-event/upper mid carders. I truly used to be one of those people that just was constantly baffled by how 'out of touch' Creative and co were, but the more I try to look at the industry from a business (not in a 'best for business' cliche nonsense way) perspective, any successful business that has withstood the test of decades and decades isn't going to be SO BLIND to the wishes of its demographics. They know what they're doing. If they didn't, most of us wouldn't be here, reading, obsessing and typing.
