Blog Cabin : Vote for Master Bathroom Components

Well I thought about the master suite and bathroom..Is it possible to put a fire place in the Master bedroom? Also it would be nice to have a small area for coffee and refrigeration items..So you could have coffee and goodies, to set out on the deck from the master suite..To me it's all about enjoying where you are with that view. I love the south of France, this way I could have the view, fireplace and a good capacinno with goodies.. Hope you will consider this proposal of change..

Yeah !!! This would be marvelous..I stopped posting because they are not listening to the whole effect of this wonderful place..You can do a whole lot on 2.69 acres...and do it well with the capabilities that they are suppose to have as builders..Grand Southern Estate with one heck of a view and totally self contained..

Blog Cabin : Vote for Front Yard Architectural Details

The photo with the porch upstairs and down was nice but facing away from the water..It looked like the water was behind the house..A wrap around with big colums would be much better.. Stately looking..You can do alot on 2.69 acres.. This place needs the french doors and those tropicial shutters for bad weather..

Some one mention solar energy for my place..Well we looked in to it and talked to the people that also worked with government incentives..To completely make sure we have energy for the whole house..It would cost us an extra $50,000..This is the newer house we bought 4yrs ago, it was adjoined to our other property. Much more liveable and has been somewhat updated. The little house had a well on the property. Probably going to put a second one in. Since we have 15 acres a pre-exsisting well which might need to be blown out abit..We put in septic already..Well water to the house. Electricity, phones ect..When we moved on the property there were just lots of woods, found a well that had been there for many years..This house was ready to be disposed of by the city..We moved it on 2 acres because at that time we did not have a house on the property, just woods..Over 6 years ago.. I must say God is amazing in how he works.. Still lots of work to do...

I'm sure there would be a few ants around..Ants show up just about anywhere..

I lived on the bay in Ingleside TX. 5 acres, wonderful gardens ands plenty of herbs. I had 72 rose bushes..They were fine, beautiful as ever..Now I couldn't grow peonies but I believe it's possable in VA.. I use to go the shrimp boats and get the fish they were going to discard to put in my soil, they even helped me and brought them to my land..It's all in how you take care of your plants..Also you have to make sure the soil is right for them..

Oh, I forgot to add. I could fish right out the back..It was bulk headed and the neighbor had a pier if I wanted to use it.. Red Fish, Trout, Whitting, Flounder and even caught blue shell crab.. hugh clams too.. If I wanted fresh shrimp it was just 5 min away. This home in VA could just be a wonderful place for someone that appreciates these type of things..

Reading the post is interesting..To be honest I was raised in Virginia.. My Dad raised Fine Harness Horses and ponies..Lots of Shetland ponies...Our friend Bill and Dorothy Baily had a place in Chespeake Bay on the water. They had at least 50+ acres,,The house was wonderful, porches, grand front room where Dorothy would play a Baby Grand from Germany..Formal Dining Room would accomadate many guest. Elegant Women, Bill was loveable husky man real southern..He also was in the car business just like my dad..These were horse people that lived in that area..So, that is why my statement about the porches are all about..Southern Living Magazine always have these wonderful homes with gardens, White crossed hatched fencing for the horses ect. Lined driveway with beautiful greenery and color..I'm sure you can figure out how to do the porches, wrap around upstairs too..Huuricane shutters for those big windows you all need to put in..I realize there is a water table..docking to be able to get to the water and fish.. The other though would make the Master Suite with it's own mini kitchen.. gourment stuff..sitting area..balcony, porch.. These are just a few ideas that need to be considered...Thank God you got acerage this time, private place..

Good Morning Everyone, The style of the house calls for Old Southern wrap around deck with railings..This is where pleople could hang out to enjoy the view..Decks upstairs as well as down..The Master Suite should have a deck to be able to have coffee in the AM..Your guests would probably enjoy a deck also..This place isn't in LA...It is in Virginia..Don't want a cookie cutter house, like everyone else..This should have at least a rambling garden of some type and a greenhouse with seating for the ladies..Big Rose Garden, Peonies, and herbs.. Come on HGTV..Get with it..This is a Fabulous setting..The views are wonderful..Nobody want to be kooped up in a house with small windows...Open this place up if you are redoing it anyway..Make it Grand Southern.. Love You All, Sharon Leonard Hughes Springs, TX

Blog Cabin : Cabin Cam is Back!

It's going to be such a beautiful place on 16 acres. There should be a covered virranda porch all the way around the house with small decks upstairs from the bedrooms with those views.. What a shame to have this type of property with out the possability of setting outside to enjoy this setting.. Come on HGTV don't skimp on the outside of this home...Front entry should be like a Grand Old Estate....Which it is..Look at Southern Living for some of the Great Homes in the South..
