If I were transgendered rather than fussing about which bathroom I use or if I get elected mayor, I would reflect on civilzation as a whole and thank God (or whatever you thank, "your lucky stars") that we have a society that honors laws for the most part such as: I can walk out to my car and not have my neighbor shoot me and steal it, or get a sandwich and not get beaten up immediately and have it taken away. That's all of us. The laws of nature ruled all of us. We had to battle on a daily basis for crumbs. Now you take Thousands and Thousands of years of this mode of thought and juxtapose that with a mayor dressing like a woman with implants and to me I feel a little sick on how ignorant we've become and how much we have to be thankful for, rather than where we can go next in our social exhibitionism.

I honestly don't care if you think you have a right to it. I'm not going to suppress you, but I will debate you to reveal how truly selfish you people are when you decide your need for expression outweighs both natural instinct and the rights of millions of families who have decided to tolerate your lifestyle at least in letting it exist.

If you want to know why our economy is tanking, there's a bunch of reasons. One is morality as a whole in our country has fallen greatly. Our free market system relied on Honesty of those in power, dutiful execution of our laws, and sacrifice above all else. The further we move on the fringe of society to create "Self-interested" laws, the farther we move from caring about our country and the more we are interested in caring about ourselves. We are both corrupting our government and at the same time giving it more power. We have put self-interest on a pedestal. That is why we both complain about young men dying in Iraq, but do it to our TV sets or to our friends or put lame bumper stickers on our cars.

Lets start here: None of us are entitled to anything. The Constitution was a miraculous document (at least at its inception) in the sense that we had birthing of 'some' true freedom as a country (Depending on your race). Before we had any freedom, we had the laws of nature and sovereigns telling us what was the truth.

Currently, this is reflected in our moving trend to use the police state of our country to legislate and protect those who would otherwise be oppressed such as this mayor, homosexuals, etc. The expansion of Federal power and Supreme Court Precedent have created false positives in what our country wants to tolerate as "acceptable behavior."

That a man should be able to go into a women's bathroom because it makes him feel more whole as a person? We are losing sight of the objective balance: Is my desire to go into a bathroom in front of a mother and female child as a cross-dressing man more important than that mother's right to protect her child?

I think it is a grave error to argue for political change based on your own self-interest. You are imprisoned by bias on the issue of transgender if you are in fact transgendered. I don't value your opinion on how the law should be (I already know), only your perspective on how you are treated wrongfully under the current law.

There was a time when honor existed. When men and women cared enough about their appearance to decide what was best for everyone, not what was best for themselves. You can point to historical events in an attempt to erode this belief, but then you're just discrminating on the basis of history you know of (And I refuse all forms of discrmination). Even though I am American, I truly prefer Collectivist cultures in terms of exhibitionism. In Collectivst cultures they decide their desire to "present themself" is subordinated by their duty to society. Here, in our individualistic society such a concept is revolting. Some of you would call that oppression of self-identity, I would call that societal empathy. Rather than march on the street and try to force society to change, I should decide how I can best integrate into the society which cares for me.

Our view towards "Equality" today is premised on the idea that we should be able to do what we want, regardless of how it might effect others. That sounds great. We hide in the "Well if it doesn't hurt someone else, then the state should allow it."
