I couldn't even read more than 10 of those quotes; too much burning rage to continue. Who the fuck in their right mind would enjoy that? Who would enjoy READING that shit?

I'm a lone wolf, myself. people keep trying to shoehorn me into an Alpha position, and I hate that. The majority of Eve's lone wolves do end up in piracy-related careers ingame, so perhaps it's not such a coincidence ;) There really isn't a lot I can talk about, these days, at least in terms of Eve, and what I can say about Dust and WoD is all stuff you can find out in news posts :p Rest assured, I'm still playing Eve.

Sweet Little Bad Girl : Recent Events

It wasn't the rage so much as the fact that gaming media sites picked up on it; this is why I'm asking you to keep blogging, because it does get noticed :) As I said in another response, it was heart-warming to see the reaction of the player-base, because it meant you cared about how things were affecting the virtual environment. To answer your question: I like what I'm seeing in the dev-blogs. But knowing who has been let go makes me worry about whether they can pull it off with the level of quality needed. Most of us didn't even have time to wrap all the work we've done into an internally-available package so that someone else can continue with it.

Dude. I want you to do something for me: Take a DEEP breath, and put the soap-box away. You're starting to repeat yourself. You'd be better off taking all of your walls of text and posting them to your own blog or internet-space. Here in the comments section, it's becoming more than a little tl;dr and not helped by the fact that they're mixed in with all the other comments. The fact that I am unwilling to point fingers in my own public space does not mean I am completely blind to everything that has happened in the past five years and more. I might be a woman on the internet, but I am not stupid. Please take your rants to a more appropriate venue, before I start asking if you're Jade Constantine.

Please, don't call me "dear" unless you know me personally. It amazes me that the entirety of the blog post has been ignored in favour of trying to chastise me over four words. I will not back down on that issue: the people who were trying the most to help got the most abuse from the players. I was not even a direct recipient, the people who received the brunt of the verbal attacks were my friends, while I was simply preparing the game for localisation. CCP today is not the CCP of the early years, and there are different people in charge. I will be blunt, the situation surrounding Monoclegate was handled badly, and there is no one person who is at fault for that. In honesty, while the leaking of internal publications and mails is a low thing for an employee to do, I think the fallout perhaps had a positive effect on the company; many eyes were opened in the aftermath, and things are changing, albeit slowly.

Thanks, man. I did try to write this without pointing fingers anywhere; I never saw one person, event, or core value to be the sole point at which things fell apart and I still don't. But the comments section here appears to have been appropriated for that discussion, so I'll just let it roll.

I'm referring to the expansion after the upcoming release, which is a "little things and fixes" release. I like "little things and fixes" releases, they make the game better. But Dust is slated for release next year, and it needs to be tied into EVE carefully. Honestly, I'd be SO HAPPY if CCP could commit the NeX market to vanity only, but I know why they can't: if the games industry shifts focus to the point where customers consider the microtransaction model to be "better" than the paid subscription model, they may have no choice but to follow the trend. It's unfortunate, but ultimately true, and they don't want to paint themselves into a corner with a commitment that could be suicidal. Nobody's a fortune-teller, and the Magic 8-Ball is asking us to try again later.

As cliche as it might seem, I can honestly say that there were technical issues regarding the creating of Incarna spaces. As to the dearth of additional content... I honestly don't know. the Content team wasn't necessary for the development of Incarna, which was all in Iceland, and input we did have was limited to providing item descriptions.

White Wolf was bought in 2006. The notorious "18 months" period didn't start until 2010. The development of WoD became contingent upon the development of Incarna; with Incarna effectively shelved until a later date, WoD has also been shelved. That's the way I've been seeing it, at any rate. It's a shame, for me: I liked the idea of eventually expanding the EVE experience to station interiors and planets. Dust has been even more of a sink than WoD has been. however, due to publishing and marketing agreements and all the advertising surrounding it, it couldn't suffer. There are a great many White Wolf aficionados who are keen to play the World of Darkness MMO; I saw as much at the Grand Masquerade weekend in New Orleans. But Sony didn't have a contract tapping its foot on WoD.

Still, you chose to ignore the serious part of the post in favour of complaining over four words. It was very rare that I saw anyone attempt to calm other players down; when they did, they got accused of being developer alts (which they never were) or hired by PR (CCP has a PR department?) to mitigate the damage (which is a laughable accusation, particularly in light of the current situation). I could have compared it to the McCartney-era witch hunts or used the much stronger language that I WAS using at that time, but that seemed even more unfair.

Saying the general player-base was being rude is nowhere near on par with what we received in terms of abuse, both on the forums and though ingame conversations we witnessed as players. If you cannot take a fraction of the criticism we received, you should probably stop trying to troll blogs.

The Incarna team is in Iceland. The next expansion (actual expansion) was due to be one of the most content-heavy EVE has ever had, but now that over half the content team is gone, it might not happen. Losing the Community team is even more of a blow to EVE. EVE doesn't exist without the player community, and without a team dedicated to communication and interaction with that community, we'll be worse off.
