Is it a foregone conclusion that Ronda will win the title at Mitb? I think not. I believe Nia will retain and Rousey's loss will be attributed to her lack of singles experience. Nia pointed out as much at last night's contract signing. This leads to a storyline where Rousey is portrayed as the hardworking underdog trying to reach the top with help from her training partner, Natalya. She finally wins the title at, maybe, survivor series only to instantly lose it to natalya after she cashes in mitb and turns heel. This could setup a wrestlemania feud that could include a rumble victory for Rousey.

Thanks. But i doubt I have the time or wherewithal to write that column. I won't cry foul if you give it a go though. In fact, i would look forward to reading it. Cheers.

The time period you mentioned, more or less, coincides with the pg era. Under the circumstances, i guess it was difficult for creative to portray new superstars and hard for the wrestlers to get over with an audience used to a more edgier product. Even Punk got over ushering in the first embers of the reality era.

The likes of the Miz, Sheamus, Ziggler etc lost momentum through the pg era. And with the stacked roster the company currently have, not many oppurtunities are gonna come their way. Thus, it becomes imperative they make the most of what does come their way. The miz did (talking smack). Ziggler did not (the survivor series win in 2015).

The first anniversary was in 1999. True.

20 = 1 + 19.

1999 + 19 = 2018.

Hard to see it happening as long as Asuka, Becky and Charlotte are all faces. One of Asuka or Becky will have to turn.

SDL lacks a top heel woman superstar. Carmella and the Iconics feel a level below.

Styles vs Joe
Styles vs Bryan (ppv match with a definitive result)
Bryan vs Nakamura
Bryan vs Miz
Rusev vs Miz (would be a very interesting feud if done right)
Asuka vs (a rebuilt) Becky

Nothing particular stands out on raw for me. I read somewhere about rollins vs Gable. That sure could be interesting. But, it will be a while before Gable is built up, if at all.

Huh? The first anniversary comes at the end of the first year. The 20th comes at the end of the 20th year. On october 26th, he finishes his 20th year, hence, 20th anniversary.

It will all be a bit of a mess. With raw getting the smackdown women's title and the raw women's title going to smackdown. The colours can always be changed or redesigned, but they cannot just rename the titles. The same issue doesn't happen with the world titles where only a colour change or redesign is required.

From a storyline point of view (assuming your theory of the sd title coming to raw), carmella cashing in can be played out as a loophole in the contract exploited by smackdown management to get a title back on the show.

I could also see it going in a direction where the titles are vacated due to all the controversy and the respective show's titles are awarded to asuka and carmella respectively. Not sure how i feel about that angle, even though it would negate the need to rename or redesign the titles.
