There's no real substance to the story or character, Todd just sat down ever issue and said "how many bad-ass splash pages can i get into this issue?" Spawn is the exemplification of something being "dark" or being "dark's" sake. I think that those who have read the book will like it. I like the look and "feel" of it. I like Night-Owl's suit, and Rorschach's voice. But i just cant imagine my non-geek friends watching this and "getting it" in 2 hours. I can see me standing outside the theater explaining why Dr. Manhattan "can do anything he wants", or why The Comedian is such a "bad guy". Oh well... That being said i hope it does well.
