I think they mentioned he had a mountain bike at his campsite (that he was no riding at the time of his accident) in a previous article. It sounds like he might have been base camped somewhere in the area and mtn biking during the day. I think the DC's comment that he had a "well-maintained campsite" is them trying to indicate that he was not homeless.

I'm not sure what you're talking about either. The divorce was after the fact. He probably divorced her so he wasn't financially responsible for her defense. Which is a smart move; no one wants to pay for the defense of the woman that killed his child.

If this child had consumed prescription pain medication, the mother probably wouldn't have been charged. This story definitely wouldn't have made the paper. Prescription meds are a lot more dangerous than MMJ; they have the capacity to kill, especially with children.

I was driving south on 93 this morning when I saw two dark, unmarked law enforcement vehicles hauling toward boulder, passing all of the morning rush hour traffic at a very high rate of speed. I remember thinking that the vehicles didn't look like they belonged to any local or state law enforcement agency; I couldn't figure out why the feds might be in town. But now it all makes sense.

"Facebook helped lead to the arrest of Daniel Lewis Arment" Not really. Facebook was just used to threaten Daniel's friends with arrest and prosecution; it didn't help catch him. The homeowner who caught him in the act had more of a role in catching him than Facebook. This looks like a GREAT reason to adjust my privacy settings on FB so that non-friends (ie random police depts) can't send me threatening messages in case one of my FB "friends" is suspected of committing a crime. I've already got it set up so that randoms can't see my friend list. Now I'll just have to make it more private.
