Big Hollywood : NFL Owners Who Use the N-Word and Wet Their Pants On Stage

In addition, some stats that were thrown around include the percentage of black players in the league. Interestingly, these stats were not mentioned… (provided as referenced by Limbaugh’s staff, you can do your own research again on this point) RUSH: All right, I had a staffer look it up for me, and as best as we can tell, the percentage of the audience that attends NFL games that's black is 12. Now, I want to hold that number in reserve because I don't know if that is just in-stadium or if that is the combined television and in-stadium number and I want to research it a little further, but right now that's what we found. So the players are out there saying, Marcellus or whoever, "Well, the players are 70% African-American, we can't have a guy like Limbaugh, racist radio." He doesn't know what he's talking about. Nobody cares. The only people throwing that number around are people like Marcellus and the race-baiters. So maybe we ought to ask old Marcellus, buddy, what percentage of the fans of the NFL are white, since you're into this. Since racial makeup is what all of you people are obsessed with in this, why don't you go and find out what percentage of the NFL audience is white and what percentage is black. And when you spout this 70% number, Marcellus, of the players being African-American, are you saying that conservatives, or more broadly, are you saying that those who don't share your race-baiting views can only pay the salaries of the players but you won't allow them to go any further, is that what it is, pal? You'll allow race-baiters, you'll allow these white racists to go to the games and buy tickets, buy the licensed merchandise, buy the NFL Sunday Ticket, all that sort of stuff and pay your salary, but you're not going to let 'em in the league? BREAK TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Okay. Here's the best we have on the audience for the NFL that is black. It's from 2004. It's Nielsen ratings. Nielsen ratings October-November 2004 say that blacks are 13 to 16% of the television audience of the NFL. Monday Night Football is getting the higher 16%. The range is 13% on Sunday to 16% of the audience on Monday night. Some last quips…to let you decide who drove this conversation, from an African American perspective…(not mine) http://www.breitbart.tv/as-we-wanted-sharpton-ple... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/blog/... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/liste... and full disclosure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5uYRzhxz90

Some other ponderings… http://slate.msn.com/id/2089193/ http://espn.go.com/gen/news/2003/1001/1628537.htm... (of particular, and curiously randomly inaccurately being reported now, this is ESPN news service, and THEY report that Limbaugh CHOSE to resign) See here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-rams-lim... and even on ESPN (Who oddly enough is sourcing and quoting from AP when the news was/is and should be most accurately reported by them, since they were the source??) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=45623... As an one 2 people, in a big world, let the change start ‘with the man in the mirror’. Have a great day, it is the first day of the rest of your life. By the by, if you really, really, really want to dig into some stuff, just spend a few minutes on this whole situation, you might even be so very curious you will look a little harder, be a little more curious and geez pretty soon you might find wholly cow, the dude actually got a really bad rap on this whole thing… Here is the entire transcript for the McNabb story (3 white guys and 2 black guys, 3 former Pro Bowl players (there is video available IF you want to confirm the nodding etc) BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I've been listening to all of you guys, actually, and I think the sum total of what you're all saying is that Donovan McNabb is regressing, is going backwards -- TOM JACKSON: Mmm-hmm. (Nodding) RUSH: -- and my... I'm sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go. I think what we've had here is a little social concern. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. TOM JACKSON: Mmm-hmm. (Nodding) MICHAEL IRVIN: (Nodding) RUSH: I think there is a lot of hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't really deserve. The defense carried this team, I think. TOM JACKSON: But Rush -- But Rush somebody went to those championship games. RUSH: Oh, they "went." TOM JACKSON: Somebody made those plays that I saw running down the field, doing it with his legs, doing it with his arm. He has been a very effective quarterback for this football team over the last two or three years – RUSH: Yeah, but you take – TOM JACKSON: -- and they didn't have any more talent then than they do now. RUSH: Oh yes they did: on defense. On defense, they did. MICHAEL IRVIN: (Nodding) TOM JACKSON: (Nodding) Oh, on defense they did. I'm talking on the offense side of the ball. RUSH: Well, that's what I'm saying. I think he got a lot of credit for the defensive side of the ball winning games for this team. STEVE YOUNG: But I'll tell you what. I'll say it even more strongly, Tom. When they're winning, nobody makes more plays -- TOM JACKSON: Right. STEVE YOUNG: -- with his arm than Donnvan McNabb. That guy is one of the best in the league at making plays, BUT making plays does not win championships. Running the offense does. So at some point -- TOM JACKSON: Gotta run the offense. STEVE YOUNG: -- I think that Koy Detmer looks like a better option because he'll go in there, drop back, and throw the ball correctly. CHRIS BERMAN: Isn't it odd that last year with the broken leg – I know it was Arizona – but the one time he was in the pocket he looked great. Right? STEVE YOUNG: He had to run that offense. TOM JACKSON: So Rush, once you make that investment though – once you make that investment in him, that's a done deal. RUSH: I'm saying it's a good investment. Don't misunderstand. I just don't think he's as good as everybody says he has been. MICHAEL IRVIN: Rush has a point. STEVE YOUNG: Well, he (McNabb) certainly hasn't matured. MICHAEL IRVIN: Rush has a point. END TRANSCRIPT In addition, McNabb was later (after the maelstrom died down) asked about the situation…he said he owed Rush some thanks, because it has made him a better player with more attention and such, but I will leave that to you to find. Additionally he said: McNabb said that he would congratulate Limbaugh if his group bought the Rams and quickly added, “But I won’t be in St. Louis anytime soon.” http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/Donovan+McNabb

Preach power to money...skip a game this year, support the lockout next year, demand salary limits and demand they create a super fund for all players medical needs, past, present and future. Take from them, that which has been granted by the fruits of their labor. They want to waive the banner Obama preaches when it suits, put the suits on them full time. Here are some snats for ya! Sirs: I see after 7 days you finally able to point out that your reporter had sourced, inaccurately, a quote that cannot be substantiated about a guy who spent the last 20+ years talking, in public, 15+ hours every week. Kudos for finding the veracity to make that editorial correction. Will you now follow up with a complete apology to restore the man’s reputation? In addition, with this columnist lose something he values as much as Mr. Limbaugh values his reputation, and apparently ownership in a football team that represents your fine city? I do not know the financial position of your paper, however, I do read often, and know the financial position of your industry. It is not a far stretch of the imagination to ponder a relationship to this kind of shoddy work, and the relationship to financial viability. It has in fact been used recently by our President to point out deficiencies in our auto industry, our energy sector our healthcare and on and on. I will await your response, though I am doubtful how forthcoming it will be. I will leave you to ponder these thoughts…. "And early in the morning He came again into the Temple [see "My Father's House"], and all the people came unto Him; and He sat down, and taught them." [see Rabbi] "And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the Law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest Thou?" "This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him." "But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not. So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground." "And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst." "When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?" "She said, No man, Lord." "And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." (John 8:2-11 KJV)
