So when we debate an issue and don't accept something, it is manufactured hate? Wow. This is truly amazing. The progressives are showing their true colors and are simply seeking to silence all opposition. The progressives have awakened a sleeping giant, and they will face the wrath! The 2010 elections will be our opportunity to issue pink slips to these "America haters". Personally, I think that their behavior is treasonous and they should be imprisoned! Silencing opposition is a form of tyranny... Senator Jeanne Shaheen (NH) will be holding a "town hall" meeting via conference call. Hymmmm. Seems she does not want to face her constituents face to face. I'll be on the call...and believe me, I will make my opinion known in a passionate yet civil way.

Everything about the proposed government healthcare plan involves government control. It will be tweaked by both the GOP and the Dems, but in the end, it will be another way for the government to control our lives. I continue to call and write my representatives and urge them to vote "NO" on any healthcare reform that involves more government control. The best way to reform healthcare is torte reform... I am tired our Congress cow towing to Pelosi, Waxman, and the entire liberal California Congressional delegation. In a letter I wrote to Carol Shea-Porter, the liberal Congresswoman from NH, I asked her to STOP representing California and to START representing her New Hampshire constituents! No gov't funded healthcare for illegals, no more gov't control! She should focus on means to make healthcare affordable for the small business owners - which make up over 90% of the States employers!!!!

Do any of the 9-12'rs remember when Glenn had Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona on his show? This man "gets it" as Glenn would say. I think that the man should run for president in 2012. We as 9-12'rs need to support this man. He represents the 9 prinicipals and 12 values that are part of our mission statement.

This is ridiculous! How many times do we need to hear about the Birth Certificate? This was already thrown out of the Supreme Court (rememer the Berg case?) Does anyone really think that there is conclusive proof that he is NOT a US Citizen? This is the latest consipiracy theory of the 21st century! Enough Already. Obama is a US Citizen and unfortunately, as an American citizen, Obama is bringing a new form of government to Washington - it is called the Obama Thugocracy. It may have worked in Chicago, but if enough of us stand up, it will fail miserably in Washington.

Obamacare is another Obamascare. I have called my representatives, and I have written to them as well! I will continue to call and write my representatives until this health care bill is DOA. I am proud to be an American and I for one will not let my country go down without a fight! I refuse to let the progressives hijack our country! Veterans have fought too hard to secure our freedoms only to have them ripped away by our own treasonous commander-in-chief! Wake your friends up! Wake your neighbors up! Be the next Paul Revere! This time it is not the British that are coming...it is the progressives that are coming! Stand Up! The more people that know the truth and ACT on the truth the better! As more people call Congress and the Senate, the pressure will build and we will put an end to Obamascare. We need to remain vigilant and stand up for this great country! I was watching "Fox and Friends" this morning and they brought up a poll that showed more Americans are becoming conservative. Interesting. Seems people are waking up! I'm glad to see more coverage on the issues that will directly affect us - Cap & Trade, Healthcare, etc. rather than back to back Jacko! I stopped watching the alphabet networks and get my news from FoxNews. I think we all need to boycott the alphabet networks. Sink their ratings. It is time that the mainstream media starts to return to its roots and REPORT!!! I only found out about the Cap and Trade bill in the house through Fox News! Seems the other networks were more interested in Jacko!

I called. I wrote. I had my friends call and write and these "representatives" still ignored us! Who do they think they are? While I will do everything in my power to campaign AGAINST the representatives that seem intent on destroying this country, we CANNOT wait for the next election! I love the United States of America; however, I hate the policies that Congress and this poor excuse of a President are force feeding us. What can we do? Keep calling. Keep writing. Spread the word! The TEA parties scheduled for Independence Day are THE opportunity to SHOUT: "NO MORE!!!" We can accomplish much through non-violent means, and as the Judge has suggested, we need to take these people to COURT!!!

I have no faith in the national government. Obama is simply in it for himself, as are Pelosi, Dodd, Frank, and Biden. We hear that the upcoming Congressional elections will make a difference. Really? Since when have national politicians kept their word? Once a representative is elected, he or she begins to serve the interests of other States and not his or her own State. Frank. Dodd. Pelosi. Shumer. Clinton. Need I go on? Granted, there are some exceptions, but they are so few. So, what is the solution? It is LOCAL government. Demand that that the State legislatures and governors ask for a Constitutional Convention! The more the States pressure the feds, the more that they will be forced to change!

Did anyone see Craig T. Nelson on Glenn's TV show? Mr. Nelson is right...if millions and yes, I mean millions of Americans do not pay taxes, the government will be forced to "face the music". I vote and I write to my national representatives; however, they only represent their own interests - no the voters! It is the local representatives that seem to care - Selectmen particularly. National representatives have no sense of fiscal responsibility. The reality is that the country is ALREADY BANKRUPT. Our current government reminds me of the movie "Weekend at Bernies". Politicians keep propping it up, but one day people will realize that we have NO MONEY and that we are indeed bankrupt! A VAT tax - aka national sales tax, taxes on employer paid healthcare, and more vice taxes will only make matters worse. As more people lose their jobs, all this administration can propose is MORE taxes?! Pathethic.

How can we take our country back? It is certainly not by following the status quo of the two party system! We need to empower our State legislatures to DEMAND a Constitutional Convention and have them STAND UP as the 10th ammendment gives them the RIGHT to do so! The federal government can already take your house if there is someone that wants the land and is willing to pay HIGHER taxes! What about your body? The federal government will soon require us to get a vaccine for the flu (perhaps a "test" vaccine for H1N1 will be in this year's flu vaccine) when there is research that shows that there is an increased chance that children will be hospitalized when they are injected with the flu vaccine (See: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/05/0905... What happened to our freedom? We CAN take it back...but it must be done locally first...then it will spread to the federal government. As the cliche says: "Think globally, Act locally"

I agree with your point of view. I, like you, am fine with Civil Unions; however, it seems to me that gay marriage is more about political expediency. If civil unions provide the legal rights that the homosexual community seeks - why seek marriage? Marriage is between one man and one woman and has been for thousands of years. Our Judeo-Christian history has had this belief and most major religions and western cultures share this same belief. Is the homosexual community looking to be elgible for health insurance or recognition by the government? For homosexuals, it is my understanding that a civil union provides these benefits. So, again, I ask: Why is the homosexual community so insistent on passing gay marriage?

I certainly understand your point and I agree that one cannot count on charities for the long term. My concern is for how long the government can sustain social security and medicare. I believe that the people in the system currently should not be "thrown under the bus"; however, how do we address the coming baby boomers that will be collecting from the system? Did you see the 20/20 that addressed this issue? These two programs pay over 2 to 3 times what people put in. This is a major return on investment (for the person collecting) AND a major burden on the taxpayer. I propose that the retirement / elgibility age should be raised to more closely match the life expectancy of the average American - say 75 or 80. When these two programs came out originally, life expectancy was around 65 or 70. With people living into their eigthies and beyond, we have to give serious thought about the future of these programs.

I fear for the people counting on a fixed income - social security and medicare. These two entitlement programs will be bankrupt by 2017 - or perhaps sooner with the drop in tax revenue! I do not believe in forced charity...if I someone is in trouble, it should be my decision to help them, not the government. As a matter of fact, at our church, we gathered thousands of dollars to help an elderly couple that lost everything in a fire. We the people came to help them - not the government. Americans are charitable - and any hard working American will help out his or her neighbor, but for the government to require FORCED service or FORCED charity goes against everything our founders believed. We need to teach more people how to fish - as scripture says: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life"

I commend Glenn for doing a "live" audience show on Friday. His show makes a great point - START LOCALLY and it will eventually affect you NATIONALLY. The Patrick Henry Caucus is a brilliant idea and I hope some of our New Hampshire State Representatives join this cause - become a 9-12'r, join the Patrick Henry Caucus and take our country back! As Americans, We are NOT responsible for the reckless spending of California. Why do you think Barney Frank proposed legislation to bailout California? Perhaps he is looking for a bailout of Massecheusetts in the near future. As the judge said last night, there is no Constitutional basis for the federal government bailing out a State. Let California fail. Let the State solve its own financial problems. They got themselves into this mess, and they are responsible for getting themselves out.

I have one thing that I would like to "vent" about...and that is tenure. I have attended several school board meetings in my district and learned of the outrageous amounts of taxpayer money being spent on teacher salaries and benefits - I live in northern New Hampshire and many businesses no longer offer health insurance to thier employees, so the employees are responsible for purchasing their own health insurance - often at a great cost. Yet, our teachers get a $20,000 / year health insurance plan and TENURE. So, even if the teachers fail to generate results (i.e. improved test scores by our students), they keep their jobs and get many benefits that the rest of us have to pay for. In the private sector, our compensation is based on performance - including the fact of whether we keep our jobs. This should be true in the public sector as well - after all, teachers work for US. Eliminate tenure, and hire teachers based on ANNUAL contracts - renew them based on their performance - not their length of service.

There was a saying that the enviromentalists put out some time ago "Act Locally, Think Globally"; I think we need to change it slightly: "Think NATIONALLY, Act Locally." We can place posts on blogs and feel good about sharing our opionion, but how many of us go beyond posting? I've written to my representatives (both Senate and House) SEVERAL times and I attend School Board meetings, town meetings etc. At one meeting, I said to the School Board: "I will NOT be held hostage by the unions! No teacher should have taxpayers pay 100% of their health insurance!" I have also attended budget meetings for the School Board and offered reasonable suggestions as to where to CUT the budget - from paying 100% of teachers health insurance to funding useless programs. I want to encourage all 9-12 members to truly LEAD. Go to School Board meetings, attend LOCAL government meetings, SHARE your thoughts, and let your voice be heard! There may be rampant spending in Washington, but spending starts at the local level - and WE THE PEOPLE can control it!

If there is any truth to this birth cerficate issue, it leads me to wonder who REALLY funded the 800k in legal fees. There was $1 million embezzled from ACORN. Wonder where that money went. Could ACORN be involved with Obama's legal defense? It is just a question, but given the money trail, one has to wonder.
