Big Peace : Lessons from Iowa: It's [Not Just] the Economy, Stupid

That's not true. The constitution gives the congress the power to declare war, but it doesn't limit what they or the president can actually do at that point. We can go to war for any reason.

Big Hollywood : Series Finales Show Hollywood Still in Same Old Rut

"women don't sexualize that part of the body on men" Don't agree with Thay_Live but this is a huge lie in our culture today. Women can get just as turned on by ripped, topless guys as men do topless girls. It's just that we're used to it now. In the past, modest men did not go into public without a shirt. But the de-sexualization of women over the years, and that fact that most American guys are lard-asses, has obscured this.

Why not encourage emigration? They could pay people to set their families up in foreign countries, or at least the border regions. (like Xinjiang and Tibet) As much as we hate the idea of Chinese colonizing the world, that's what will end up happening anyway.

Definitely weird and twisted, but not socially liberal. India is one of the more socially conservative countries on Earth. It's just that our idea of conservative doesn't always mesh with theirs, and the leftists on the coast love embracing strange and dysfunctional cultures like this one.

Big Peace : Bill O'Reilly, The 'Rape Factor', And Islam

O'Reilly has always kept himself ignorant about anything religious. His (second) favorite phrase is "only the deity knows". He seems to believe that since there are many religions and everything is relative, there is no reason to investigate anything about any in particular. His few shows about Christianity have been just as dumb.

Big Hollywood : Off With the Heads of Hollywood's Misguided 'Royalty Genre'

Japan doesn't have a class system, to the extent that England does, and didn't even have one before the war. There are people considered in a higher status in life than others, and various levels of language needed for those situations, but it's as classless a system as America. As you know the kissing of the ring is simply a tradition. The Queen is a figurehead and if the PM didn't want to do it there's nothing forcing him to, except culture. They aren't even forced to keep the royals - that's what they want. I know the writer was using sarcasm but, this read a lot like Barack Obama's views of Britain/Imperialism. Guess you agreed with returning the bust of Churchill? Libertarian.

What about the people on a waiting list who have no strange hang-ups about paying compensation to receive an organ? Why make them suffer because of your beliefs? Seriously I don't have an opinion either way but this guy makes a good point if it's true that you can't work after donating and normally get NOTHING for it. That's worse than jury duty.
