No, I have to fix it in the settings. There is a small learning curve here for sure. I'm actually having to deal with spam now more than I did before, but I think that as soon as the rough edges are smoothed, it should be a great system for all.

Hi Janice,

So far I LOVE the new comment system. Being able to answer comments from email makes all the difference in the world. Yeah, I'm sad to lose Ajax, but so far I think the juice is definitely worth the squeeze.

Yeah, the commenting thing is scary, but I hope it's cool. This comment is a good example. I just saw yours over at the Inkwell, but wasn't going to open my browser and go to the site to answer it. However, I am in mail right now so answering this is EASY.

By the way, you are correct, not crazy. I was obviously half asleep when I posted yesterday as I put two posts at the Inkwell and nothing at Writer Dad. The one you read over there was intended for over here. The problem is fixed, but not in readers. OOPS. : > )

As US tourists in Israel, a man and his wife were sitting outside a Bethlehem souvenir shop, waiting for fellow tourists. An Arab salesman approachedthem carrying belts.After an impassioned sales talk yielded no results, he asked where they were from.

\"America,\" the husband replied.

Looking at her dark hair and olive skin, the Arab responded. \"She's not from the States.\"

The comments ARE super ugly, no doubt and I also don't like the way replies are set up. However, I think it's all customizable once I get used to it. Bottom line though, I'm able to bounce comments back in a way that (selfishly) works with my natural rhythm. If it works, we can add it to all our sites and have Dave pretty it up with some custom CSS (which is supposed to be pretty easy).

Listen George, I'm not interested in your half assed deals. I want an army of chickens or nothing.

The freaky comments thing allows me to answer comments from email, which is AWESOME and means I can do a much better job answering them without having to go to the site and wait on WordPress. So far me likey, though they are admittedly a bit ugly. Also, there should be a way to double dip a comment as a tweet, though I don't know how to do it yet.
